NGO Monitor is making its rounds again — this time attempting to smear pro-Palestine groups by linking them to designated terrorist organizations.

In a press release published today, the Jerusalem-based nonprofit asserted that the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and its subsidiary Samidoun are participating in protests across American college campuses.

According to the presser, PFLP played a part in the Oct. 7 attack against Israel and is a designated terrorist group by the US, Canada, the EU and Israel. NGO Monitor alleges that “Students have been documented while carrying PFLP posters, flying the PFLP flag, hosting PFLP-link speakers, and reading PFLP publications.”

It also noted that PFLP issued a statement in support of pro-Palestine collegiate protesters:

We in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, along with all our people, the honorable of our nation and the world, confirm our steadfast support for the struggle of the students youth movements, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) at universities such as Columbia, Rutgers, Yale, Stanford, among others. We call for enhancing the unity of students and their struggle to divest American universities from the zionist entity and cut all forms of relations with it.

Since Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) are mentioned in PFLP’s statement, they are drawn into the loop as “terrorist-adjacent.”

Still, NGO Monitor places much of the blame on Samidoun for the “antisemitic and pro-terror incitement on campuses.”

Samidoun’s logo can be seen on posters promoting the PFLP, and its officials have preached ‘resistance’ (code for terrorism) at campus events. Samidoun, for which the Alliance for Global Justice serves as fiscal sponsor, does not publish financial information, reflecting a lack of transparency and accountability.

It is just remarkable here that “resistance” is considered a “code for terrorism” by this Israeli organization. “Resist” has been a keyword floating around college campuses for decades upon decades. But now that the target has shifted from war, capitalism and white supremacy to Jewish nationalism, it is a major problem.

NYC Mayor Adams said, “This must end now,” as he sends over 100 officers to Columbia University.

The State would never act like this to protect any other group as exemplified by 2020.

It is easy to clear with clairvoyance the stark difference with how these protests are being handled — and again — it purely has to do with the target. From here, a lot of assumptions can be made and actually make the situation for Jewish people even worse. US politicians fail to acknowledge that, as do these nonprofits that allegedly advocate for them. NGO Monitor attempting to connect college groups to designated terror groups will likely exacerbate the situation.

It still presses claiming it has identified “a broad network of Palestinian NGOs” asserting “to advance human rights or humanitarian interests” … and “have links to the PFLP terror group.”

The government has relied on NGO Monitor in combatting the pro-Palestine protests, and now the Jerusalem-based “research institute” is looking to deadname American college students, putting them on some watch list.

Much of the press release is conjecture and not empirically based, though. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has also played a significant role in NGO Monitor work, according to the presser.

The Israeli watchdog bases its knowledge on secondhand information by aggregating photos and clips. As for the evidence, it all appears authentic, but a bunch of “tweens” parading around for a social justice cause and using poor optics isn’t something new. It is doubtful they even know about PFLP or Samidoun. If any, the source of their information probably comes from one of their BIPOC LGBTQ+ social sciences professors.

The bill that passed the House could take TikTok away from Chinese Communist Party-tied ownership and allow somebody else (possibly ex-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin or investors in Mnuchin’s orbit) to purchase TikTok. Presumably, the new owners could then swing the algorithms and censorship on TikTok toward the cause of Zionism and away from the anti-Zionist sentiment that is dominating the platform and stressing out the Anti-Defamation League’s Jonathan Greenblatt, who got caught in leaked audio describing a “TikTok problem” and a “Gen-Z problem” for his Zionist cause.

Republican Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky fought against the bill because it has other disturbing implications for free speech and could be used to ban other platforms in the future for perceived Wrongthink.

Of course, it is possible to oppose Chinese influence and also oppose the House’s TikTok-related manipulations. But Shapiro’s parlor-trick punditry does not factor in the complexity of issues.

“I didn’t think you could somehow magic opposition to a Chinese-owned psyop into an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory, but I underestimated you. Truly, you have a dizzying intellect,” Ben Shapiro quipped in typical midwit fashion.

Ben Shapiro became famous years ago as a gimmicky 17-year old syndicated columnist for the professional “conservative” movement. Ben Shapiro recently did a groveling interview with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and fellow pundit Jordan Peterson, who also takes an extremely pro-Israel stance. Ben Shapiro’s feud with his Daily Wire colleague Candace Owens is not going well for Shapiro, because the America First movement is obviously against Shapiro and has been for years. Why? The Fox affiliate in San Francisco ran a segment in which the suspect was not identified.

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the 2020 death of George Flyod, is appealing his federal civil rights conviction, arguing that new evidence shows he did not cause Floyd’s death.

Former Minneapolis police officer and now 47-year-old federal inmate, Derek Chauvin is filing an appeal for a new trial or a hearing to allow him to present the newly discovered evidence, reported Fox News.

Chauvin filed the motion in federal court on Monday, stating he would never have pleaded guilty if he had known the theories of a Topeka, Kansas, pathologist, Dr. William Schaetzel, whom he met in February. 

The request asks the presiding judge to dismiss the civil rights conviction and mandate a new trial or, at the very minimum, allow for an evidentiary hearing. He filed the request without an attorney.

Fox News reported that the records indicate Chauvin said Dr. Schaetzel believes George Floyd died from issues stemming from a rare tumor. The Cleveland Clinic cites this neuroendocrine tumor as a paraganglioma, which can stimulate a fatal amount of adrenaline. It can form near the carotid artery and along nerve pathways in the neck and head. 

It may sound like a credible theory; however, the pathologist did not review Floyd’s body or autopsy reports.

Dr. Schaetzel told The Associated Press, “I can’t go to my grave with what I know. … I just want the truth.”

The Kansas local ABC affiliate reported Chauvin alleges Shaetzel contacted his trial attorney, Eric Nelson, presiding judge and prosecution in his state-court murder trial. He said Nelson never disclosed the pathologist or his ideas, alleging his attorney failed to challenge the constitutionality of the federal charge. 

Based on Dr. Shaetzel’s findings, Chauvin believes “No reasonable juror would have convicted,” according to the filing. The former Minneapolis police officer may be too optimistic, as the autopsy performed by Dr. Andrew Baker in 2021 was widely portrayed as police brutality, downplaying drug use or heart disease.

The response to Floyd’s death was treated in a similar manner, too. The Guardian accurately reported the 25 deaths from the Black Lives Matter 2020 riots but skews the descriptors of the victims. Other outlets straight up dismissed or attempted to “debunk” the $2 billion in damages from the unrest.

Chauvin, with the condemnation of the media and the establishment, pleaded guilty to the federal charge in December 2021 and, in doing so, waived his rights to appeal except on the basis of ineffective counsel.

The federal court of appeals has already rejected two requests from Chauvin for a rehearing. He also submitted an appeal to the US Supreme Court on the state court murder conviction.

Derek Chauvin is currently serving a 21-year sentence in an Arizona federal prison.
