Pfizer spokesman and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to face online backlash after he got caught on a sideline camera bumping into his 65-year old head coach Andy Reid and screaming in Reid’s face, apparently because Kelce wanted to go into the game. Though he tried to play the scandal off at first with a joking tone, Kelce eventually had to admit his own misconduct.

Though the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl, Kelce’s attack on Reid left a bitter after-taste to the event, similar to the much-ballyhooed “holding” call that cinched the Chiefs victory in the Super Bowl last time around.

Travis Kelce had to admit he was wrong on his equally insufferable brother Jason Kelce’s podcast. Travis agreed with Jason’s assertion that Travis “crossed the line.”

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and longtime football broadcaster Terry Bradshaw said that coach Andy Reid had hip surgery at some point prior to Travis Kelce blindsiding him.

“I felt bad for Andy because Andy had had hip surgery. He had his game plan in his hand. And when Kelce went over, Kelce didn’t push him, Kelce went over and he accidentally bumped him, I don’t think he pushed him or anything. It was an accident, but it looked bad on television,” Terry Bradshaw stated on Rich Eisen’s show.

Though “Inside the NFL” on the CW Network had Travis Kelce wearing a microphone for the game, the show did not broadcast audio from the Kelce-Reid incident, prompting suspicion that the Chiefs might have intervened to prevent the release of that audio. If it ever gets released, that audio would certainly get ratings!

The show Nashville featured Hayden Panetierre’s pop star character (who might have been based on Taylor Swift) dating and marrying a pro football quarterback after their publicity teams got them together to create a spectacle. On the show, Panetierre’s character married the quarterback and then quickly backed out and got an annulment, leaving the football player and his family embarrassed.

If life imitates art, and art nowadays is mostly just shallow pop culture narratives, does that mean the “Travis Kelce” storyline is getting written out of the New World Order idol worship script? I guess we will have to find out, since the mainstream media is going to continue inflicting both of these people on us whether they break up or not.

A lot of people have been getting tired of the Kelce-Swift storyline.

Travis Kelce criticized “cranky NFL fans” who are not captivated by his media-baiting romance with pop singer Taylor Swift. Kelce has used his platform in sports to become a paid shill for the Pfizer coronavirus needle injection, which has been widely linked to myocarditis and other ailments and associated with strokes and heart attacks caused by blood clotting.

“I’m having fun with it, the majority of the world is having fun with it, outside of all the cranky NFL fans who just don’t want to see the Chiefs win,” Kelce said of his relationship with Swift during an appearance on the talk show of ESPN pundit Pat McAfee. “And you know what, we’re slowly reeling ’em in. We’re slowly reeling ’em in. They just, they’re fighting it right now.”

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who bravely resisted the Scamdemic needle, called Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” at one point, and Kelce clearly got a little defensive about getting called out for his Big Pharma shilling.

“I thought it was pretty good. I mean, with the ‘stashe right now I look like a guy named Mr. Pfizer. Who knew I’d get into the vax wars with Aaron Rodgers? It’s Mr. Pfizer versus the Johnson and Johnson family over there, man,” Kelce said in a press conference, referring to Woody Johnson, the owner of Rodgers’ team the New York Jets.

“Once I got the vaccine, I got it because of keeping myself safe, keeping my family safe. The people in this building. So, yeah, I stand by it, one thousand percent, and I’m fully comfortable with him calling me Mr. Pfizer,” Travis Kelce shilled.

Kelce’s mom was even in a Pfizer commercial with him, adding another layer of cynicism to the wickedness of the Kelce brand.

Super Bowl 2024: Unveiling the Attack on Christianity https://nationalfile.com/super-bowl-2024-unveiling-the-attack-on-christianity/ Sat, 17 Feb 2024 23:45:53 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=67220 Last Updated on February 17, 2024

There’s an unmistakable war being waged against Christianity that has escalated in recent decades and was on full display at this year’s Super Bowl, during both the game and the commercial breaks.

In recent years, we’ve witnessed churches flying pride flags, hosting drag shows, and even some churches claiming that God is “non-binary.”

The “He Gets Us” Super Bowl ad that was aired about a week ago, was yet another example of how the world has distorted Christianity to align with a politically woke agenda.

The multi-million dollar ad portrayed what was supposed to be Jesus washing the feet of a gay man, a woman at an abortion clinic, and a BLM rioter. The ad ended with text that read, “Jesus didn’t teach hate. He washed feet.”

There is only one story in the New Testament of Jesus washing feet and it was at the Passover meal before his crucifixion. Jesus washed the feet of his Disciples–the people closest to him and the people who had been following him his entire ministry, not the Pharisees. Jesus was not washing the feet of every unbeliever and sinner he encountered. He came and died for all of us but He was a servant to those willing to be served by Him—not those who opposed Him. While that did include washing the feet of Judas, Pastor Mark Driscoll pointed out on X that: “Jesus washed Judas’ feet and still sent him to Hell.”

In short, the entire premise of the ad was that Jesus didn’t teach hate, he washed feet– and that’s it. The ad also implies Jesus was accepting of all kinds of sinful behavior– and he wasn’t. The ad only touched upon a very small aspect of Christianity. It addresses that Jesus was loving but completely disregards the part where He is also wrathful. The ad portrays Jesus as someone who came to bring peace and didn’t come to make anyone uncomfortable. That is not Biblical. Biblical Jesus came in flipping tables and standing for Truth.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” -Matthew 10:34

Many Christians defended this advertisement, claiming that it was supposed to appeal to “secular liberals” and that “if this advertisement is able to bring someone to our side then so be it.” But, Christianity isn’t supposed to appeal to a secular crowd, it’s supposed to offend them. If you can preach the Gospel and your message appeals to a gay man, a transgender person, an atheist, and a woman who gets abortions, then you aren’t preaching the Gospel.

If it wasn’t obvious enough that this ad was nothing more than Leftist propaganda cloaked as Christianity, consider heading to the “He Gets Us” website.

The very first thing they have displayed on their homepage is a message that reads:

“How did the story of Jesus, the world’s greatest love story, get twisted into a tool to judge, harm, and divide? How do we remind people the story of Jesus belongs to everyone? These questions are the beating heart of He Gets Us.

In their FAQs, one question reads “What is your stance on the LGBTQ+ community?” Their response was,

“Jesus loves gay people and Jesus loves trans people. The LGBTQ+ community, like all people, is invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider his example of unconditional love, grace, and forgiveness of others. No matter who you are, YOU are invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider what it means for your life.”

The appropriate answer to that question would have been 1 Corinthians 6:9-11:

“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

In short, you will go to Hell. But God sent his only son to die on the Cross to redeem you and save you from eternal damnation

Additionally, the website is filled with articles that look like CNN published them. Here are just a few of them: How did Jesus step over barriers of race, gender, and stigma on the side of the road?”; “Jesus was exclusively inclusive.”; “Jesus overcame bias, too”; and “Four Ways Jesus Supported Women’s Equality”.

He Gets Us– yes, but he also changes us, calls us to repent and turn away from our sin– which they make no mention of anywhere on their website. “Go and sin no more.” – John 8:11

The bottom line is that the advertisement was blasphemous. The people behind He Gets Us had an opportunity to tell the truth about Jesus and salvation to hundreds of millions of people. Instead, they chose to lie to millions of people and portray Jesus in a way that fits a secular and woke narrative.

Christians who defended the ad are exactly part of the problem. Many Christians today have become much more concerned with offending man than offending God, so they distort the truth and water down the Gospel– and that is how we ended up as a country that doesn’t dare to mock the Muslims or the Jews, but one that openly mocks Jesus and Christianity.

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” – Ephesians 6:13-15

Christians, it’s time to wake up.

Gypsy King Tyson Fury Takes On Zelensky’s Stooge Usyk In February For The Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing Championship https://nationalfile.com/gypsy-king-tyson-fury-takes-on-zelenskys-stooge-usyk-in-february-for-the-undisputed-heavyweight-boxing-championship/ Sat, 13 Jan 2024 19:24:46 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=66144 Last Updated on January 13, 2024

“The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury is taking on a Ukrainian named Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 17, 2024. Both fighters have heavyweight belts, and the winner gets all of the belts. If Fury wins, it will be a massive victory for Fury’s Irish Traveler people. Can Fury stop Usyk from taking the belts back to Volodymyr Zelensky’s Ukraine?

Usyk is Zelensky’s guy. Zelensky reportedly got all emotional after a recent Usyk win, declaring, “Difficult, but so important and necessary VICTORY! Defending the title of world champion is a symbol that all those who are of Cossack sort will not give up their own, they will fight for it and will definitely win!”

Tyson Fury, who previously defeated and un-belted the Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, does not seem too scared of Zelensky’s puppet:

Tyson Fury’s cadence and bravado in pre-bout press conferences could be compared to another high-profile boxer in the heavyweight division named Sam “The Candyman” Hyde, who has a 1-0 professional record.

Cullen McCue wrote for National File in August 2022: Comedian Sam Hyde won his boxing debut against YouTuber IAmThmpsn on Saturday. Hyde, who was fighting on the undercard of KSI vs. Pineda, stopped Thompson in the third round after fighting behind a solid jab. As expected, Hyde used his post-fight callout to challenge leftist streamer Hassan Piker to a fight in hilarious fashion.

Sam Hyde is perhaps most widely known for being the subject of a long-running internet joke where he is named as the suspect or key figure in numerous crimes and high-profile news stories. The Million Dollar Extreme comedian is jokingly named as a suspect in hopes that journalists will not verify and report it, which has happened on a number of occasions.

Most recently, the joke was able to fool U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who fell for a meme that named Hyde as the mythical Ukrainian “Ghost of Kyiv” fighter ace. Despite the fact that the ghost never existed — according to the Ukrainian government — Kinzinger thanked “Samuyil Hyde” for his service in a tweet. “Godspeed and more kills, Samuyil!” wrote the outgoing congressman in a tweet.

Sam Hyde promoted his boxing debut with a hilarious character known as “The Candyman,” who speaks in a strong Irish accent and delivers riddles about candy. Hyde’s build-up played a major factor in selling the card and appeared to catch a handful of unsuspecting journalists off guard.

His reading of “The Candyman Poem” was a massive hit at the pre-fight press conference and drew a number of laughs from fellow fighters and attending media.

Sam Hyde — billed as “the strongest Irishman in 2000 years” — toned down the Candyman antics prior to the actual fight, which was contested at heavyweight.

A close first round was tough to score, though the Australian IAmThmpsn seemed to pull ahead towards the end. Hyde — who had a notable reach advantage — worked behind his jab while Thompson spammed an overhand right. Hyde largely managed to evade the right, though Thompson landed some solid body shots and landed a solid flurry towards the end of the round.

While both fighters were tired, Hyde was the fresher fighter in rounds two and three. Thompson continued to spam an overhand right with little success, which took a toll on an already limited gas tank. Hyde meanwhile managed to find more success with his jab while sliding out of the way of Thompson’s haymakers.

Hyde also managed to find some solid offense in close, making his power advantage quite noticeable.

Both fighters were tired in round three, but Thompson was placing his hands on his knees at any opportunity, indicating that he was exhausted. Hyde’s jab started to affect Thompson more at this stage, who was eventually wobbled by a jab, right hook combination. The referee initiated a standing-count after Thompson was on wobbly legs, which the Australian survived at the eight-second mark.

Hyde pressed as soon as the fight resumed, however, and was able to finish the fight after another standing count.

As expected, Sam Hyde used his post-fight interview to call for a bout with leftist streamer Hassan Piker.

Piker — who streams under the “HassanAbi” channel — is the nephew of Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks. After getting his start with his uncle’s radically left-wing outlet, he moved into the emerging political streaming market and soon became one of the most popular left-wing internet personalities around. Hyde has been calling for a fight with Piker for over a year, which the latter declined.

Bret Hart Says Trump Was A “Really Big Fan of Wrestling” And “Had A Lot of Respect For The Wrestlers” https://nationalfile.com/bret-hart-says-trump-was-a-really-big-fan-of-wrestling-and-had-a-lot-of-respect-for-the-wrestlers/ Thu, 11 Jan 2024 22:04:56 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=66085 Last Updated on January 11, 2024

Retired professional wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart remembers President Donald Trump, back when Trump hosted Wrestlemania 4 and 5 in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1988 and 1989 at the Boardwalk Hall next to the Trump Plaza casino.

“Well actually I remember quite a bit about it. I remember Donald Trump was actually a really big fan of wrestling,” Bret Hart recalled, noting that Trump followed wrestling closely and was particularly impressed with turnbuckle maneuvers.

“I think Donald Trump was enough of a fan that when I took a good front turnbuckle it stood out in his mind because I remember meeting him in the back after, at the end of the show, and he treated me really well. He came up and suggested we get a picture together, and we got a picture with him,” Bret Hart said.

“I remember the next year, when I saw Donald Trump again, I didn’t think he’d pay any attention to me very much, but I remember he came up and he asked me, he goes, how’d that picture turn out last year? He goes, let’s get another one and we took another picture. So, I mean, my experience with Donald Trump back then, that he was always a bit of a fan and I think he had a lot of respect for the wrestlers,” Bret Hart stated.

Bret Hart said during the 2016 election that he was not a big political fan of either Trump or Hillary Clinton, calling Clinton dishonest. Bret Hart, always the people’s champ, said that a president must think about wealth inequality and the plight of the poor.

Pistons Fans Send Team Owner And Hillary Clinton Donor Tom Gores A Clear Message https://nationalfile.com/pistons-fans-send-team-owner-and-hillary-clinton-donor-tom-gores-a-clear-message/ Fri, 22 Dec 2023 18:27:00 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=65668 Last Updated on December 23, 2023

Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores is experiencing fan backlash, and for good reason. The Pistons have lost 25 straight games. They went 17-65 last year. And they haven’t won a playoff game since 2008, including during the entire duration of Gores’ ownership since 2011. On Thursday, Detroit fans chanted “Sell The Team.”

Tom Gores is the billionaire Platinum Equity founder whose private equity empire is based in Beverly Hills in the state of California.

Tom Gores of Beverly Hills has made political donations to the DNC (Democratic National Committee) Services Corp, the Republican National Committee, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, and anti-Trumper Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Sell The Team” chanted the fans, because they are tired of the rich private equity Hillary Clinton donor’s losing ways!

REPORT: Matt Petgrave Arrested for On-Ice Throat Slashing of Adam Johnson https://nationalfile.com/report-matt-petgrave-arrested-for-on-ice-throat-slashing-of-adam-johnson/ Wed, 15 Nov 2023 13:35:58 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64684 Last Updated on November 15, 2023

Hockey player Matt Petgrave has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the fatal on-ice throat slashing of Adam Johnson. The arrest of Petgrave comes just days after an ice rink packed full of more than 8,000 people gave him a standing ovation in his first return to his home rink since he killed Johnson, leaving hockey fans and others around the world in complete shock.

Police in South Yorkshire, England have reportedly arrested Canadian ice hockey player Matt Petgrave in connection with the October 28th on-ice throat-slashing death of American former NHL player Adam Johnson.

The two men were playing in Britain’s Elite Ice Hockey League when Petgrave made what appears to have been a deliberate leap at Johnson’s neck, leading with the blade of his skate as he rammed into Johnson and cut his throat open, leaving him to bleed to death on the ice as horrified teammates and medical staff desperately tried to save his life and get him to a local hospital.

Though Petgrave has been widely reported to be the man arrested by British police, law enforcement has refused to name their arrestee and has not yet filed any official charges. However, they are expected to do so, according to British sources and sports media reports.

As Sports Illustrated reported:

The arrest was announced Tuesday – 17 days after the incident – but South Yorkshire Police did not identify the person taken into custody. In a press release, the department said detectives “arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter.”

The assumption is that the arrested individual is Sheffield hockey player Matt Petgrave, whose skate struck Johnson in the neck during the Oct. 28 game. Horrific video of the play saw Johnson fall to the ice and then attempt to skate to the bench while holding his neck. Blood covered the ice and Johnson was later pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

“Our investigation launched immediately following this tragedy and we have been carrying out extensive enquiries ever since to piece together the events which led to the loss of Adam in these unprecedented circumstances,” South Yorkshire Police Detective Chief Superintendent Becs Horsfall said in the release.

As mentioned, the reported arrest of, and pending manslaughter charges for Matt Petgrave come as British hockey fans have rallied around him, even injecting race into the issue as Petgrave is a black Canadian. His supporters have claimed that, somehow, disapproval of Petgrave’s caught-on-camera slashing of Johnson’s throat, which appears to have been anything but accidental, is racist.

In video footage that went viral online in the days leading up to Petgrave’s reported arrest on suspicion of manslaughter, over 8,000 fans of Petgrave’s team, the Sheffield Steelers, rose to their feet and gave the man who killed Adam Johnson on live TV a standing ovation, in what’s been blasted online as one of the most disgusting virtue signals of all time.

What’s more, is that British hockey fans have begun hashtag and photo-op campaigns, to show their support for Petgrave and issue demands that he be let off the hook in connection to the killing of Adam Johnson.

Hockey Player Accused of MURDER After Slashing Opponent’s Throat With Skate https://nationalfile.com/hockey-player-accused-of-murder-after-slashing-opponents-throat-with-skate/ Mon, 30 Oct 2023 15:14:50 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64162 Last Updated on October 30, 2023

American ice hockey player Adam Johnson was killed on Saturday, October 28th, during a professional game in England that saw another player, Matt Petgrave, slash Johnson’s throat with his skate. While the shocking incident has been dubbed a “freak accident” by league officials and sports media, Petgrave is being accused of murder as video footage appears to show him roundhouse kicking Johnson in his throat.

29-year-old American hockey player Adam Johnson, who previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, was playing a home game for the Nottingham Panthers of England’s Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) when his throat was slashed by the skate of Matt Petgrave, of the Sheffield Steelers, ending Johnson’s life.

Though Johnson’s death is being called a “freak accident” by the media and the EIHL, Petgrave is being widely accused of murder and video footage shows what many believe to be a deliberate kicking of Johnson’s throat with the blade of Petgrave’s skate.

“Matt Petgrave is a straight up MURDERER”, Stew Peters wrote in a post to X that included video footage of the moment Johnson’s throat was slashed.

“He literally roundhouse kicks this guy with his skate, slashing his throat and killing him on the ice,” added Peters.

Watch the video footage below:

Fueling the belief that Petgrave intentionally rammed his skate into Johnson’s throat are reports that Petgrave has a lengthy history of on-the-ice disciplinary problems.

According to @EndWokeness, “Petgrave has a history of bad behavior in the EIHL, including racking up the most penalty minutes (2022-2023 season) and getting booted out of games.”

“The media quickly has declared it a total accident, but many viewers and expert hockey players are not convinced,” @EndWokeness wrote in a post made to X.

Matt Petgrave Hockey
Matt Petgrave has locked down his X account after slashing Adam Johnson’s throat with his skate. The media has attempted to cast Petgrave as the ultimate victim in the situation, reporting that he’s received online hate mail.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT:

In an extended video clip showing the time immediately before and after Johnson’s throat was slashed, the incident looks even more deliberate, as Petgrave can be seen skating straight for Johnson before bumping off of another player and lifting his leg head-height into the air, ramming the blade of his skate into Johnson’s throat.

Almost immediately after Johnson collapsed to the ice, a massive pool of blood could be seen forming below him. He was helped to his feet by a referee who, along with one of Johnson’s teammates, tried to help him skate off the ice toward medical assistance.

In the video, the teammate can be seen trying to hold Johnson’s slashed throat together, as blood pours down the front of Johnson’s uniform and onto the ice, leaving a red trail behind him.

Woke ESPN Shill Stephen A. Smith Throws Fauci-Esque First Pitch At Yankees Game https://nationalfile.com/woke-espn-shill-stephen-a-smith-throws-fauci-esque-first-pitch-at-yankees-game/ Sun, 24 Sep 2023 19:06:51 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=63358 Last Updated on September 24, 2023

Woke ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith thew out a dreadful first pitch at a New York Yankees game at Yankee Stadium. Smith’s embarrassing athletic effort recalled that of Coronavirus Scamdemic guru Dr. Anthony Fauci, who threw arguably the worst pitch of all time at a Washington Nationals game. Thus, media pundits posing as a sports commentator (Smith) and a health expert (Fauci) are responsible for some of the most shameful athletic spectacles in modern times.

Smith wore a Derek Jeter Yankees jersey to disgrace himself on the field, bouncing the ball well in front of home plate and immediately expressing regret at what he had just done. Smith later said of his woeful exploit: “I was disgusted with myself, man. I choked.”

Stephen A. Smith is one of the more obnoxious progressive Woke shills on the progressive Woke ESPN network, which is mostly owned by the progressive woke Disney corporation. Smith shilled for the Coronavirus needle injection, which he claims to have taken. Why did Stephen A. Smith prove unable to perform the simple physical task of throwing a baseball from the mound to home plate?

LinkedIn

Smith’s shameful first pitch is similar to the first pitch thrown by notorious Scamdemic villain Anthony Fauci, who undermined his health expert status by hurling perhaps the unhealthiest first pitch in the history of baseball. So who threw the ball worse: Stephen A. Smith or Anthony Fauci?

Reclaim The Name: REDSKINS Petition Goes MEGA-VIRAL, Passes 100k Signatures https://nationalfile.com/reclaim-the-name-redskins-petition-goes-mega-viral-passes-100k-signatures/ Wed, 16 Aug 2023 13:57:26 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=62134 Last Updated on August 16, 2023

A petition to restore the Washington Redskins team name has gone mega-viral online and is garnering hundreds of thousands of signatures as momentum builds to get rid of the Washington, DC-based NFL team’s despised new monicker of Commanders. The Commanders name debuted last season after the team spent two years playing as the “Washington Football Team” due to ex-owner Dan Snyder’s groveling to radical leftists and their corporate allies, who demanded the name be changed after the completely unrelated death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The Change.org petition calling on Commanders’ ownership to “change the Washington Commanders back to the Washington Redskins” has received more than 100,000 signatures as of the morning of Wednesday, August 16th, as the “Reclaim The Name” movement catches fire, and goes mega-viral online.

In spite of claims that the “Redskins” name is racist, the petition effort is being led by a group of American Indians, called NAGA, the Native American Guardians Association, who contend that the name, which was supported by 90% of American Indians according to multiple polls, does not deride, but honors, American Indian history and the spirit of Indian warriors.

“We, are passionate supporters of the Washington Redskins and its rich history,” the petition reads. “We write to you today as a collective voice, urging you to reconsider the recent name change from the Redskins to the Commanders. We believe that restoring the original name, the Redskins, is the right decision for the team, its loyal fanbase, and the legacy it represents.”

Explaining the rich history and legacy of the Washington Redskins and the cohesiveness of the team’s dedicated fanbase, which extends far beyond Washington, DC, the petition goes on to say that “The name ‘Commanders’ fails to capture the essence, tradition, and historical weight associated with the Redskins.”

“It lacks the uniqueness, emotional connection, and pride that our team’s original name embodies. The change to ‘Commanders’ dilutes our team’s identity and weakens the connection with its devoted fanbase. By restoring the Redskins name, we reinstate a symbol of unity, strength, and shared identity that has inspired generations of fans.”

Redskins Petition

The mega-viral petition comes on the heels of the Washington Commanders (Redskins) being sold to Josh Harris, who purchased the team, along with a minority-ownership group of investors, from Dan Snyder, the unpopular former owner of the franchise who changed the team’s name after vowing for years that he’d never do so.

POLL: Official Washington Redskins Name Change is Despised by Fans

Since Harris’ arrival in Washington, the community has been abuzz with rumors that the team’s name will indeed be changed once again, whether or not it actually reverts back to Redskins, or is changed to something else that still offers a tip of the hat to the team’s history.

This belief has been emboldened under multiple circumstances in recent weeks and days, like when Washington’s head coach, Ron Rivera, spoke to the media and was asked by a reporter what he makes of people “using the old team name,” something that the reporter said has increased “since new ownership took over.”

“Mr. Harris and that ownership group talked extensively about bringing back the glory,” Rivera told reporters.

“It’s hard to escape it, it really is,” he went on, adding that when the Redskins name is used, it’s used with the “utmost respect” for American Indians.
