Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will successfully stare down the America First wing of the Republican party by leaning on Democrats to pass the supplemental foreign aid bills.

The bills include a whopping $95 billion in aid to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, including some measures to lessen the burden on the American taxpayers to pay these foreign nations, reported The Hill.

Among the chaos, Democrats didn’t believe the GOP would fund the Ukraine effort, to which Johnson compromised, forcefully saying, “Yes!” President Joe Biden supports the series of foreign aid bills that will bury America into further debt and deficit.

The Hill reported that the House will vote on Saturday. The Senate is anticipated to produce one out of the five bills — likely for Ukraine — that will pass the House and onto the president for signing.

Johnson was supposed to be the opposite of “RINO” former Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., but now he appears to be a mirrored image. He has been threatened with a motion to vacate by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga., who is seemingly doing it for her usual antics. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., has also threatened the same, but of course, with a more serious tenor.

The Speaker hasn’t had it all too bad, as former President Donald Trump told him in Mar-a-Lago last week that he “stand[s] with the Speaker.”

According to The Hill, “moderate” Republicans are now praising Johnson for putting his foot down against possible motions to vacate. Ironically, all these “moderates” seem to have the backing of AIPAC — the Israel Lobby.

Alex Conant, formerly of Sen. Marco Rubio’s, R-Fla., 2016 failed presidential campaign, said to The Hill, “You get to a point where you can’t let yourself be held hostage by a fringe wing.”

“The vast majority of Republicans don’t want to surrender Ukraine and support giving our allies what they need,” added the GOP strategist. Note: he never mentions the constituency — only the politicians in the party supporting the foreign aid bills.

The aid that Trump said was a conditional loan to Ukraine is $61 billion. That is a small piece of the total since the original invasion by Russia in February 2022.

According to recent polling, Republicans are more skeptical of providing aid to their European brothers rather than their alleged “Greatest Ally” in the Middle East. Still, aid to Israel is seen as going against Trump’s “America First” nationalism, as public awareness about the failed prolonged entanglements in Iraq and Afghanistan continues to grow.

Ironically, Johnson called himself a “wartime Speaker” during a CNN interview on Wednesday. He told Jake Tapper that the GOP is “going to stand for freedom and make sure Vladimir Putin doesn’t march through Europe.”

In that same interview, he suggested he may change the rules around the motion to vacate, requiring more than a single rep to initiate. Perhaps this is a safeguard to his position. Any rule change, though, would require a majority in the House, which the GOP does not have.

Congress Calls for Immediate Vote on $95 Billion Foreign Aid Bill

Still, many Republicans are frustrated by his attempt to separate the aid into different bills, which has essentially killed any chance at border security enactments. One of the Speaker’s five bills includes that, but the Senate is likely to ignore it, reported The Hill.

Video: Uni-Party GOP’er Ken Buck Backs J6 Persecution, Rigged Election in Resignation Announcement https://nationalfile.com/video-uni-party-goper-ken-buck-backs-j6-persecution-rigged-election-in-resignation-announcement/ Mon, 18 Mar 2024 13:20:32 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=68236 Last Updated on March 18, 2024

Uni-party Congressman Ken Buck of Colorado, a GOP’er who’s regularly voted with Democrats and has vociferously opposed the MAGA movement, has become just the latest Republican legislator to announce his resignation from Congress. Buck’s departure further chips away at the GOP’s dwindling House majority that’s been deteriorated by a resignation wave, and a bipartisan campaign to expel former Republican Rep. George Santos, who’s since been replaced by a Democrat.

Rep. Ken Buck has announced that he’ll be leaving Washington in a matter of days, depriving his constituents of representation in DC instead of finishing out his term, which expires in less than a year. Buck’s departure shaves the GOP’s House majority down to just five seats, as the House Republican Caucus will now consist of just 218 members, compared to 213 for the Democrats.

As a result of Buck’s resignation, on any given party-line vote, if just three Republicans side with the Democrats (a regular occurrence in the House), Republicans will lose, despite holding a majority.

In a video statement announcing his decision, Buck blasted Republicans who’ve sought to secure elections after the rigging of 2020 and endorsed the persecution of American citizens related to J6.

“Too many Republican leaders are lying to Americans, claiming that the 2020 Election was stolen, describing January 6th as an unguided tour of the Capitol, and asserting that the ensuing prosecutions are a weaponization of our justice system,” Buck said parroting uni-party talking points regularly employed by swampy politicians.

“These insidious narratives breed widespread cynicism and erode American’s confidence in the rule of law,” Buck added, before calling the issues he rattled off “contrived.”

Watch the Full Video Clip Below:

Buck’s resignation announcement makes him just the latest Republican to quit Congress, and he was proceeded in his DC departure by deposed ex-Speaker Kevin McCarthy of California and now-former Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio, both of whom resigned in recent months.

As mentioned, Republicans also lost a seat when GOP legislators sided with Democrats to expel George Santos – who has since been replaced, by a Democrat.

What’s happening in Washington is obvious to many.

A group of Republicans, who’ve long been accused of working with Democrats to kill off conservative and America First legislation, are resigning in the months ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election and doing everything they can to hand Democrats a House majority.

If that happens, Democrats will be in control of the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives in the run-up to Election Day, and Hakeem Jeffries will likely be installed as the Speaker of the House, giving Democrats even more influence over the upcoming election, and potentially the certification of electoral votes.

Ken Buck Resigns - NBC News

As National File has previously reported, the GOP resignation wave comes after the party’s establishment deliberately botched the 2022 mid-terms, turning what they said would be a “red wave” into a mere pink trickle, as Kevin McCarthy and his NRCC political machine sabotaged America First candidates, dumping money linked to the corrupt FTX crypto exchange into establishment primary campaigns, and into weak Republicans who lost big to Democrats.

Money from FTX was used by Kevin McCarthy and his Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) political machine to crush conservative candidates in the 2022 midterms, protecting McCarthy’s influence in DC.

Much like McCarthy’s Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF), from which corrupt FTX money flowed into anti-MAGA attack ads and the pockets of GOP establishment campaigns, the NRCC was used during the 2022 midterms to enforce compliance with the McCarthy establishment agenda.

Candidates deemed too conservative, or too disruptive to McCarthy’s quest for power, were left out in the cold by the NRCC.

DEMISE: Kevin McCarthy to Resign at Year’s End https://nationalfile.com/demise-kevin-mccarthy-to-resign-at-years-end/ Wed, 06 Dec 2023 23:36:25 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=65331 Last Updated on December 6, 2023

Deposed 55th Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has announced that he will resign from Congress at the end of the year, putting a bow on his rapid fall from the third highest-ranking office in the nation while also sticking a shiv in the side of the GOP and the American citizens who voted for them, as he chips away at the GOP’s already dwindling House majority.

GOP Rep. and ex-Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy announced on Wednesday in both a Wall Street Journal op-ed and a video post to X that he will be leaving Congress at the end of 2023, vacating his seat in the House of Representatives in a much less dramatic fashion than his seat as Speaker of the House was vacated.

McCarthy’s announcement comes despite his previous boast that he would not resign after being voted out as speaker.

“I have decided to depart the House at the end of this year to serve America in new ways,” McCarthy wrote in his op-ed announcement, adding that he knows that his “work is only getting started.”

“I will continue to recruit our country’s best and brightest to run for elected office,” McCarthy went on to write.

McCarthy’s announcement comes just days after more than 100 House Republicans voted with Democrats to expel New York Rep. George Santos, and creates yet another vacancy in a district previously held by a Republican.

McCarthy Resign GOP Majority

The announcement also comes roughly just two months after McCarthy became the first Speaker of the House in American history to fall to a Motion to Vacate, holding the position for less than a year (after barely winning it in the first place) before losing the Matt Gaetz-filed motion vote. That came after McCarthy reneged on virtually all the promises that got him elected speaker, including releasing J6 security footage, reining in the Biden Regime, and cutting government spending.

Did Kevin McCarthy Elbow Tim Burchett? Let’s Take A Look At The Facts https://nationalfile.com/did-kevin-mccarthy-elbow-tim-burchett-lets-take-a-look-at-the-facts/ Tue, 14 Nov 2023 21:37:12 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64646 Last Updated on November 14, 2023

Former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy acknowledged “I guess our shoulders hit” when trying to defend himself against Congressman Tim Burchett’s accusation that McCarthy elbowed him in the back.

Tim Burchett of Tennessee belongs to the “Courageous 8” caucus that voted to oust Kevin McCarthy from the speakership using the motion to vacate rule, marking the first time the motion to vacate rule has been used to successfully strip the gavel from a sitting Speaker of the House.

“A reporter was interviewing Burchett or something. I guess our shoulders hit because Burchett runs up to me after, I didn’t know what he was talking about…I did not run and hit the guy, I did not kidney punch him,” McCarthy said, also denying that he might have shoved Burchett. (WATCH MCCARTHY’S WEIRD, DEFENSIVE RESPONSE TO THE PRESS).

Audio credited to NPR demonstrates that Burchett clearly said “Why did you elbow me in the back, Kevin?” He then said, “Hey Kevin, you got any guts?” and he called McCarthy a “jerk.”

Burchett stuck by his story in an interview and mentioned a witness to the alleged attack, who was stunned by McCarthy’s alleged violence.

McCarthy is clearly a hothead, as the evidence shows. Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida said of McCarthy, “He loses his temper sometimes,” after a separate incident in which McCarthy reportedly shouted at Gaetz during the Matt Gaetz-orchestrated 22 days of chaos in which populists ousted McCarthy from the speakership and prevented him from getting the gavel again.

Tensions are high.

Recently on Capitol Hill, another hotheaded Republican Establishment congressman named Dan Crenshaw kicked and tried to trip NATIONAL FILE publisher Noel Fritsch (WATCH CRENSHAW KICK NOEL).

Kevin McCarthy Does A Sad Revenge Interview With CNN’s Manu Raju In Which He Obsesses About Matt Gaetz https://nationalfile.com/kevin-mccarthy-does-a-sad-revenge-interview-with-cnns-manu-raju-in-which-he-obsesses-about-matt-gaetz/ Fri, 10 Nov 2023 00:05:23 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64524 Last Updated on November 9, 2023

Ousted former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of California gave a Nixonian post-speakership interview with CNN’s Manu Raju in which McCarthy offered clear support for some kind of punishment play against populist congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida. Gaetz was one of the “Courageous 8” congressmen who overthrew McCarthy using the motion to vacate rule.

According to NATIONAL FILE’s interview with Rep. Lauren Boebert, the Republican Establishment has been scheming to expel Matt Gaetz from Congress as part of a Uniparty Swamp play.

McCarthy said the Republican Party would benefit from Gaetz losing his House seat, saying, “Oh, tremendously. I mean, people have to earn the right to be here. He’ll admit to you personally, he doesn’t have a conservative bent in his philosophy. And just the nature of what he focuses on.”

Manu Raju asked McCarthy if the House GOP “should consider expelling him”?

“Look, that’s up to the conference, but I don’t believe the conference would ever heal if there’s no consequences for the actions,” McCarthy said, clearly advocating for revenge against Matt Gaetz.

“I don’t believe she wins re-election,” McCarthy said of Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who was part of the Courageous 8. McCarthy noted that he thinks Mace will lose due to her flip-flopping and other things, not due to the speakership drama.

Indeed, conservatives seem to be happier with Mike Johnson of Louisiana as Speaker, though of course patriots always have to hold politicians accountable, especially since Johnson stated his support for Ukraine war funding. Kevin McCarthy is no longer relevant the way he was before Gaetz ousted him, before those magical 22 days of chaos in which America had no permanent House Speaker and America was slightly better off.

Let it be noted that a campaign to get McCarthy back into the speakership popped up again at the end in the final conference vote in which Republicans elected Mike Johnson over McCarthy. Kevin McCarthy lost.

Election Interference: Trump Gag Order Reinstated https://nationalfile.com/election-interference-trump-gag-order-reinstated/ Mon, 30 Oct 2023 20:26:00 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64171 Last Updated on November 1, 2023

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan reinstated a gag order against President Trump that doesn’t allow Trump to speak about court staff or witnesses in his upcoming J6 trial in D.C. Chutkan reinstated the order after she concluded Trump would not win an appeal to have the order removed. The Biden DOJ could potentially jail Trump if he speaks about Jack Smith. Meanwhile, Smith has no restrictions to speak about Trump.

Chutkan attacked the 1st Amendment in her ruling reinstating the garg order, writing, ” As the court has explained, the First Amendment rights of participants in criminal proceedings must yield, when necessary, to the orderly administration of justice—a principle reflected in Supreme Court precedent, the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, and the Local Criminal Rules.”

Trump responded to the order, writing on TruthSocial, “I have just learned that the very Biased, Trump Hating Judge in D.C., who should have RECUSED herself due to her blatant and open loathing of your favorite President, ME, has reimposed a GAG ORDER which will put me at a disadvantage against my prosecutorial and political opponents. This order, according to many legal scholars, is unthinkable! It illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls. Few can believe this is happening, but I will appeal. How can they tell the leading candidate that he, and only he, is seriously restricted from campaigning in a free and open manner? It will not stand!”

Trump’s appeal of the gag order will likely go to the United States Supreme Court. However, this process will take months. This allows the Biden White House to craft their narrative without Trump being able to respond.

This latest development will add more pressure on the House GOP to defund Jack Smith ahead of the November 17th C.R. Deadline. Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz used McCarthy’s funding of Jack Smith to justify having McCarthy removed as House Speaker. Polling shows a large percentage of Americans supported this move.

Rep. Gaetz Shuts Rep. Smith Down https://nationalfile.com/rep-gaetz-shuts-rep-smith-down/ Fri, 27 Oct 2023 14:52:38 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64057 Last Updated on October 27, 2023

One of Kevin McCarthy’s biggest fanboys, Rep. Jason Smith from Missouri, attacked Matt Gaetz this week over Gaetz’s ousting of McCarthy. Gaetz responded to the attack by saying, “There might not be another member of Congress who lives a lie every day more than Jason Smith.” McCarthy allies continue to attack Gaetz over McCarthy’s ousting despite polling showing that most voters support McCarthy’s removal of Speaker.

Smith attacked Gaetz, saying, “Let me just tell you, if Matt Gaetz’s lips are moving, it’s only lies that’s coming out of it, That gentleman only loves to propel himself and propaganda. He sounds like a Democrat. It’s exactly what Democrats say. They accuse Donald Trump of everything that they’re doing. Matt Gaetz is accusing Kevin McCarthy for everything that he’s doing.”

Gaetz responded by saying, “Jason Smith says if my lips are moving, I’m lying. Well, you know what? If Jason Smith is breathing, he is living a lie. There might not be another member of Congress who lives a lie every day more than Jason Smith. And Jason Smith knows exactly what I’m talking about. And by the way, so does almost every member of the House Republican caucus.”

Gaetz continued to say, “So, there’s a good deal of projection in Jason Smith calling me a liar when it’s Jason Smith, who literally has to live a lie. And I honestly pity him for that because you know, it wouldn’t be something that– I wouldn’t live that way. I’ll just put it that way. So, Jason, I would check yourself before you come at me with any accusations of being dishonest about what I say, when you’re dishonest about how you live and what you do.”

Jason Smith is not married. Many find it quite odd that a career politician like Smith, who has more power and money than most American’s, still has not found a spouse to marry.

McCarthy’s allies are continuing their attacks against Gaetz and the others who ousted McCarthy despite polling showing voters support McCarthy’s removal.

MTG Skips Work after Asking NationalFile Reporter Charles Downs if He “Has a Job” https://nationalfile.com/mtg-skips-work-after-asking-nationalfile-reporter-charles-downs-if-he-has-a-job/ Thu, 26 Oct 2023 21:26:55 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64027 Last Updated on October 26, 2023

The hypocrisy of Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene keeps getting worse. Loomer reported on Thursday that MTG skipped votes to catch a flight to Florida. Last week, Greene asked NationalFile Reporter Charles Downs, “Do you have a real job?” after Downs asked if she regretted her support for Kevin McCarthy. Downs asked MTG this question while McCarthy was knifing Jim Jordan in an attempt to return as Speaker.

Loomer wrote on X, “JUST IN: @RepMTG just missed 9 votes on amendments and a final appropriations vote so she could leave early and catch a flight to Palm Beach, Florida. Guess she’s too good to do her job…. MTG wasn’t elected to hop on jets to Palm Beach so she can beg Trump to be his VP. #MAGA.”

In another post, Loomer wrote, “Is @RSBNetwork going with her to Mar a Lago so they can be her “body guard”? We know how much she’s loves the entourage. Must be nice when your boyfriend is the director of a news broadcast. Always camera ready to push out your propaganda and faux MAGA talking points. Lovely.”

RSBN staff were walking with Greene when she told Downs, “Do you have a real job? Or even a real life? I don’t think so.”

Many D.C. insiders believe MTG became unhinged over Downs questioning her support of Kevin McCarthy because at that time McCarthy was attempting a comeback for Speaker.

MTG’s Refusal to Condemn McCarthy Looks Worse and Worse as McCarthy Refuses to Endorse Trump https://nationalfile.com/mtgs-refusal-to-condemn-mccarthy-looks-worse-and-worse-as-mccarthy-refuses-to-endorse-trump/ Mon, 23 Oct 2023 15:02:42 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=63911 Last Updated on October 23, 2023

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy refused to endorse Donald Trump for President during an appearance Sunday on Meet the Press. Last week, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene went on an unhinged rant against NationalFile reporter Charles Downs after Downs asked MTG, ” Do you regret supporting Kevin McCarthy?” MTG’s refusal to answer Downs’ question is looking worse and worse by the day.

When asked about why he has not endorsed Trump yet, McCarthy told Meet the Press, ” Well, the campaign is still going, I got southern border wide open, I got war in the Middle East, I got things I need to focus on right now.”

McCarthy was then asked, ” Are you a MAGA Republican?”

McCarthy responded with, ” You know what? I am a Conservative Republican from the beginning to end and I am proud of who I am.”

Many found it creepy McCarthy answered the question like he was still Speaker. McCarthy, however, was not too busy to endorse Tom Emmer for Speaker. NationalFile has reported on Emmer’s ties to Liz Cheney and Ron DeSantis. Emmer would certainly use the power of the Speakership to attempt to stop Trump from winning the GOP nomination.

Last week, NationalFile reporter Charles Downs asked MTG twice, ” Do you regret supporting Kevin McCarthy.” MTG ignored the first question. However, MTG responded the 2nd time, telling NationalFile reporter Charles Downs, “Do you have a real job? Or even a real life? I don’t think so.”

MTG’s decision to attack Downs instead of answering his question on McCarthy is looking worse by the day as McCarthy continues to attack Trump and his supporters via anti MAGA endorsements and statements.

Video: McCarthy-Backed Tom Emmer Wants to End the Electoral College https://nationalfile.com/video-mccarthy-backed-tom-emmer-wants-to-end-the-electoral-college/ Sat, 21 Oct 2023 11:54:42 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=63846 Last Updated on October 21, 2023

Tom Emmer (R-MN), the latest member of Congress to be backed by Kevin McCarthy and the GOP establishment in their search for a new Speaker of the House, is a fierce opponent of the Electoral College system that was installed by America’s founders and has prevented the likes of New York and California from picking the nation’s president.

Kevin McCarthy’s Majority Whip, Tom Emmer, is the GOP establishment’s next man up after efforts to elect Majority Leader Steve Scalise as Speaker of the House failed, prior to establishment members moving to block Jim Jordan’s candidacy and attempting to hand broad powers over to unelected interim speaker Patrick McHenry.

Emmer is a longtime supporter of the “National Popular Vote” scheme that was widely embraced by the left after President Trump’s 2016 Electoral College victory.

Under the scheme, which has been signed into law in a handful of blue states, electoral votes are not given to the winning candidate of an individual state but are assigned to the national popular vote winner.

The program not only surrenders a state’s sovereignty by handing control over its votes to residents of other states but gives national electoral control to highly populated areas like New York and California, which just so happen to be some of the most left-wing regions of the United States.

According to a webpage devoted to promoting the popular vote legislation, the bills “will take effect when enacted into law by states possessing [a combined] 270 electoral votes.”

Watch Tom Emmer promote the destruction of the Electoral College in the video footage below:

Though Emmer has received the backing of deposed ex-speaker Kevin McCarthy, House conservatives and GOP voters are lining up to oppose him.

And they aren’t the only ones.

Reportedly, President Trump told his political allies that he won’t be backing Emmer, and Trump advisor Boris Epshteyn blasted Emmer on Friday’s episode of Bannon’s War Room.

As Epshteyn noted, in addition to calling for the destruction of the Electoral College, Emmer has refused to endorse President Trump for re-election in 2024, making him “out of step” with the vast majority of GOP voters.

“If somebody is so out of step with where the Republican electorate is, where the MAGA movement is, how can they even be in the conversation?” Epshteyn asked.

To make his run for Speaker of the House official, Emmer will have to file his paperwork by noon on Sunday. He’s joined in his bid by Reps. Byron Donalds, Kevin Hern, Austin Scott, Tom Emmer, Jack Bergman, and Pete Sessions, all of whom have announced their own runs for the gavel, and the list of declared candidates is expected to grow even more.

After canceling another Jordan speakership vote by way of a secret ballot, the GOP will meet on Monday for a speakership candidates’ forum, before convening on Tuesday to take another crack at nominating and electing a new speaker.
