Now, the California Democrat is quietly funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars to a group seeking to do just that.

The group to which Pelosi is funneling her PAC money to in order to maintain control of Congress is run by Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder. Pelosi’s personal political action committee, PAC to the Future, gave $300,000 to Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee last fall.

But Pelosi wasn’t always so supportive of groups that sought to politically configure congressional districts to their advantage. In 2019, Pelosi insisted partisan gerrymandering compromised “the integrity of our democracy.”

“This year, the Democratic Majority passed HR1, the For The People Act, which works to end to partisan gerrymandering by requiring all states to establish independent, nonpartisan redistricting commissions to draw open and transparent statewide district maps after each Census,” Pelosi said. “We will continue to fight partisan gerrymandering, ensure every citizen’s vote counts and oppose any attempt to compromise the integrity of our democracy.”

Holder’s group is preparing a full-on assault for a once-a-decade redistricting effort that will decide, based on population, the apportionment of the US House of Representatives.

The former-Attorney General’s group has a mission statement that defines its purpose as a data and legal hub. It will also serve as a go-between for the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee and the many state legislatures.

Holder’s group also received a six-figure donation from George Soros’s Democracy PAC, an organization primarily funded by the billionaire’s nonprofit network.

A number of Progressive-agenda supporting union PACs, including the SEIU, the Transport Workers Union, and the AFT, have also poured cash into Holder’s group.

Speaker Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi – who has had his own share of financial ethics issued, oversees the finances for her PAC.

In January, Paul Pelosi made a $1 million Tesla stock buy just before it was announced that the Biden administration was taking the federal car fleet electric, which sparked the interest of ethics watchdogs over the timing of Pelosi’s stock purchase.

Pelosi’s PAC is the only organization linked to a politician that has channeled money to Holder’s group over the past two years, and promises to be a driving force – at least financially – for Left-wing gerrymandering efforts, the exact actions Pelosi once openly opposed.

Democrats Plan To Violate Constitution, Strip Trump’s 5th Amendment Rights For Impeachment Trial https://nationalfile.com/democrats-plan-to-violate-constitution-strip-trumps-5th-amendment-rights-for-impeachment-trial/ https://nationalfile.com/democrats-plan-to-violate-constitution-strip-trumps-5th-amendment-rights-for-impeachment-trial/#respond Mon, 08 Feb 2021 17:10:47 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=23434 Last Updated on February 8, 2021

Impeachment Managers sent from the U.S. House of Representatives to the U.S. Senate have threatened to, and really already did, violate the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  They are asserting violations of the Constitution by President Donald Trump while themselves violating it.

On February 2, 2021, new attorneys representing President Trump filed an “Answer” to the Articles of Impeachment, but not (yet) an actual trial brief.  Trump’s attorneys and others challenge the trial as unconstitutional because President Trump left office. Yet, on February 4, 2021, the Impeachment Managers asked the former President to testify in the upcoming trial.

In other words, if President Trump took the bait, he would be legitimizing an unconstitutional proceeding.  Democrats believe their own propaganda about him. By showing up to testify, President Trump could destroy his legal objection to the unconstitutional trial, as Jason Miller suggested.

President Trump’s “Answer” denied the factual allegations. This is overwhelmingly typical, requiring the prosecutors to prove their case. Yet House “prosecutors” want to force President Trump to prove his innocence.  Democrats are accustomed to just asserting things.

The former President’s lawyers quickly rejected the invitation, calling it a “public relations stunt.”

However, the letter from the Impeachment Managers’ leader Jamie Raskin (D-Md) threatened President Trump, “If you decline this invitation, we reserve any and all rights, including the right to establish at trial that your refusal to testify supports a strong adverse inference regarding your actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021.”

Although reported only indirectly on Fox News, Raskin apparently said that Trump’s refusal shows his guilt after being rebuffed.

However, the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits anyone from being “compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.” The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly made clear that it is a violation of the Fifth Amendment for a trial court to draw an adverse inference from a defendant’s decision not to testify.  See, Carter, Estelle v. Smith, 451 U. S. 454 (1981), Mitchell v. United States, 526 U. S. 314 (1999); Carter v. Kentucky, 450 U. S. 288 (1981), at least at the guilt phase.

But this is impeachment. Yet the courts routinely treat some proceedings as “quasi-criminal.” Democrats are threatening criminal prosecution. This is a problem because the jury pool in Washington, D.C. voted 95% for Biden.

Moreover, the U.S. Supreme Court holds that the threat of drawing an adverse inference from a defendant not testifying would cripple Fifth Amendment rights. Therefore, an inference would harm constitutional rights.

Also, it is the Senate which decides what rules will apply and what factual assertions to believe. Raskin as prosecutor has no right to decide what inferences the Senate will make. Yet he clearly assumes that power.

Famous Law Professor Jonathan Turley, a Democrat before his Party swerved sharply to the Left, condemned this bullying:

“The Supreme Court has been adamant that the type of inference sought by Raskin is abhorrent and abusive in courts of law. In Griffin v. California, 380 U.S. 609 (1964), the Court reviewed a California rule of evidence which permitted adverse comment on a defendant’s failure to testify.”

And:

“The statement conflicts with one of the most precious and revered principles in American law that a refusal to testify should not be used against an accused party.”

Professor Turley also reads into this exchange that the Impeachment Managers are not prepared to prove their case, having rushed the impeachment through without witnesses.

Meanwhile, watch for this also: Clearly the main reason Democrats want to proceed with impeachment is to make sure they don’t have to face a rematch with President Trump in 2024. Democrats are likely to argue that they can disqualify Trump from holding future office without a two-thirds vote. Many have already said that they can disqualify Trump on a simple majority vote even if they fail to get two-thirds votes for removal.

The Constitution says:

“Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States:”

But also says:

“And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.”

Therefore, “Judgment,” meaning “convicted,” requires a two-thirds vote of the U.S. Senate.  Disqualification arises only from a judgment, which requires a two-thirds vote.

There are enough novel issues at stake to fascinate us for weeks but the trial is likely to be short.

C-Span is expecting the trial to start on 1:00 p.m. on February 9, 2021.  People can watch live or whenever is convenient “on demand” on C-Span’s special website page.

POLL: Trump Outperformed Biden in Presidential Approval Ratings https://nationalfile.com/poll-trump-outperformed-biden-in-presidential-approval-ratings/ https://nationalfile.com/poll-trump-outperformed-biden-in-presidential-approval-ratings/#respond Wed, 03 Feb 2021 21:25:49 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=23207 A new presidential approval poll reveals that even though Joe Biden has allies in the mainstream media and Big Tech, he still trails President Donald Trump’s approval ratings in his first two weeks into the presidency.

The results of a February 3, 2021, Rasmussen poll show that 51 percent of likely US voters approve of Biden’s job performance so far with 47 percent of the likely electorate disapproving of his job.

Thirty-five percent of those surveyed indicated that they strongly approve of the job Biden is doing with a solid 38 percent strongly disapproving of his actions.

Interesting is the comparison to President Trump’s approval and support numbers among those same likely voters during his first two weeks in office.

In two consecutive comparisons between Presidents Biden and Trump, it is President Trump who comes out on top.

Between January 25th and January 27th, Biden’s approval ratings were flat at 48 percent of likely voters. But during the same time during Trump’s presidency, he held approval numbers between 55 and 59 percent.

A similar comparison covering February 1st to February 3rd, saw Biden slightly higher fluctuating between 49 percent and 51 percent. Still, Trump outperformed him during the same time frame in his presidency.

During the same time in 2017 President Trump’s approval ratings among likely voters rose from 53 percent to 54 percent.

Biden’s approval poll results were tallied in a moment in time when the mainstream media is still in its “honeymoon” phase with the new President, a phase that many observers believe will trail into the regular coverage of his administration.

Social media outlets facilitate a positive narrative of Biden even as he signs executive orders that have killed jobs, raised taxes, and opened the US borders.

Conversely, Trump faced a hostile and combative mainstream and social media from before he took office, a hostility that remains to this day.

Interestingly, Trump’s approval ratings among rank-and-file Republicans remains high.

According to a January 27, 2021, Morning Consult/Politico poll – two outlets who are not simpatico with conservativism, found that among Republicans from coast-to-coast, Trump enjoyed an 81 percent approval rating.

Only 10% of Wyoming Republicans Support Liz Cheney After Her Vote To Impeach Trump https://nationalfile.com/only-10-of-wyoming-republicans-support-liz-cheney-after-her-vote-to-impeach-trump/ https://nationalfile.com/only-10-of-wyoming-republicans-support-liz-cheney-after-her-vote-to-impeach-trump/#respond Wed, 03 Feb 2021 01:00:46 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=23165 Last Updated on February 17, 2022

A survey undertaken by the Save America PAC has found that support for US Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), once one of the Republican Party’s rising stars and the number 3 most powerful Republican in the House of Representatives, has fallen to a devastatingly low 10 percent among Wyoming Republicans.

The survey, paid for by Save America, President Donald Trump’s new Political Action Committee (PAC), painted a dreary picture for Cheney’s re-election chances, as well as her current political standing.

Cheney’s drastic decline in popularity among her Republican colleagues and her constituency began immediately after her vote to impeach then-President Trump on the unsubstantiated claim that he contributed to the chaos and violence at the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

The Congresswoman issued a scathing statement attacking President Trump following the January 6th unrest, saying that he “summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack,” adding that “there has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the constitution.”

House conservatives are currently mounting a concerted effort to remove Cheney from party leadership.

With primary challengers lining up to take her on in 2022, the Wyoming Republican Party has even taken the sober step of condemning her vote against President Trump.

According to the survey results, 73 percent of Wyoming Republican voters and 62 percent of all that state’s voters expressed an unfavorable view of Cheney, a three-term congresswoman. An anemic 10 percent of Republican primary voters and 13 percent of those who indicated they would vote in the General Election said they would vote to reelect her.

The survey also found that Ms. Cheney was getting crushed in a one-on-one match-up against one of her most potent primary challengers, State Sen. Anthony Bouchard. In that contest Cheney was losing to Bouchard 21 percent to 54 percent, nearly double her numbers.

In a memo to the former-President’s senior adviser, Jason Miller, pollster John McLaughlin wrote, “Liz Cheney’s decision to vote to impeach President Trump makes her extremely vulnerable…It is evident her ratings are in bad shape among general election voters and have collapsed among Republicans and Trump voters.”

But the memo also illuminated a vulnerability to those who seek to unseat Ms. Cheney.

The poll illustrated how a rush of primary challengers (think about the recent spate of overloaded stages at the RNC presidential primary debates) could, in the end, play to Cheney’s advantage.

In a three-way contest between Cheney, Bouchard, and the as of yet unannounced Wyoming State Rep. Chuck Gray, Bouchard’s commanding lead was diluted by 25 percentage points, Cheney and Gray each receiving 19 percent.

With regard to those who are contemplating a challenge to the other ten House Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump, McLaughlin writes, “The strong voter sentiment in this survey suggests there could be similar results for other Republicans who voted for impeachment.”

President Trump remains wildly popular among Republicans in Wyoming with 70 percent of those polled supporting the former-President. Among Republican voters nationally, President Trump has an 85 percent favorable figure.

Mitch McConnell vs Rand Paul: Mitch Courted By Deep State To Whip Republicans Into Impeaching Trump https://nationalfile.com/mitch-mcconnell-vs-rand-paul-mitch-courted-by-deep-state-to-whip-republicans-into-impeaching-trump/ https://nationalfile.com/mitch-mcconnell-vs-rand-paul-mitch-courted-by-deep-state-to-whip-republicans-into-impeaching-trump/#respond Wed, 27 Jan 2021 15:47:53 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22744 Last Updated on February 17, 2022

Reports are emerging that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), is being privately urged to support a conviction vote in the Senate’s Republican caucus by prominent Republicans and former White House officials.

In talking to reporters off the record, one Republican member of Congress made clear that the goal to forbid President Donald Trump from ever holding elected office again is commonly held goal not only among Democrats and Progressives, but among Deep State establishment Republicans as well.

“Mitch said to me he wants Trump gone,” one Republican member of Congress told reporters in confidence. “It is in his political interest to have him gone. It is in the GOP interest to have him gone. The question is, do we get there?”

The lobbying by influential Washington insiders to disqualify Mr. Trump from ever holding office in the future started in the US House of Representatives after the January 6th chaos at the US Capitol Building. The secretive lobbying began to center on McConnell after the House’s impeachment vote.

https://twitter.com/YoNews/status/1353108399454564354

McConnell has negotiated a February 8, 2021, start date for Mr. Trump’s second impeachment trial. It was announced on Monday that partisan Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), would preside over the trial instead of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, leading many to question the legitimacy of the process on the whole.

Last week, in a shocking floor speech, McConnell said Mr. Trump and his allies were the catalyst for “storming” of the Capitol Building on January 6th. Several videos contradict the use of the word “storming,” showing people casually walking into the Capitol Building through open doors stationed with Capitol Hill police officers who stood by without taking action.

McConnell, who himself has not ruled out voting to convict the former President, said Trump was directly responsible for provoking the actions on January 6th, saying, “The last time the Senate convened, we had just reclaimed the Capitol from violent criminals who tried to stop Congress from doing our duty. This mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people. And they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government which they did not like. But we pressed on.”

Meanwhile, McConnell’s colleague from Kentucky, Senator Rand Paul, successfully convinced all but five Senate Republicans to vote with him in a declaration that the attempt to impeach a president who is no longer sitting, with the excuse that he incite a riot – when President Trump called for a peaceful protest – is completely unconstitutional.

If the 45 Senate Republicans who voted to end the impeachment trial before it began intend to vote the same way during the Senate trial, then Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will not be able to round up the two thirds majority required to convict President Trump.

On January 13, 2021, the US House voted 232-197 to impeach Mr. Trump for a second time. Ten Republicans, including Reps. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Liz Cheney (R-WY), and John Katko (R-NY), voting with Democrats to impeach Mr. Trump.

MyPillow’s Mike Lindell Permanently Banned from Twitter https://nationalfile.com/mypillows-mike-lindell-permanently-banned-from-twitter/ https://nationalfile.com/mypillows-mike-lindell-permanently-banned-from-twitter/#respond Wed, 27 Jan 2021 01:13:40 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22760 Last Updated on February 17, 2022

Staunch Trump ally and CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, has been permanently banned from the social media platform Twitter for what that company’s spokesperson said were Lindell’s “repeated violations” of the social media company’s civic integrity policy.

The spokesperson for Twitter claimed Lindell used his account to propagate unsubstantiated claims about fraud in the presidential election.

Twitter implemented its new “civic integrity policy” last fall in an effort to clamp down on misinformation.

Twitter didn’t provide proof of Mr. Lindell’s policy violations. But he had advocated for election integrity and called out constitutional violations executed by several of the battleground states regarding their electoral college certifications using his personal account and the MyPillow corporate account in recent months.

Lindell has refused to embrace the false narrative that there was no malfeasance in the 2020 election.

Federal courts never adjudicated any case based on evidence provided that vote fraud, ballot tampering, or usurpations of constitutional mandates had taken place. Each time the courts relied on the malleable issue of “standing” to avoid hearing any argument supporting Election malfeasance.

Dominion Voting Systems – whose machines and software have proven to be less than secure by virtue of their own owner’s manual – has threatened Lindell with a lawsuit for alleging the company’s products stole “millions of votes.”

The cancel culture cabal pressured big retailers – including Bed, Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s – to drop My Pillow’s products after Lindell made a trip to the White House to have private discussions with then-President Trump.

Twitter excommunicated Lindell less than three weeks after it banned and purged President Donald Trump from the platform, doing so while he was still the sitting President. The controversial decision has raised legitimate questions about the company’s power to censor elected officials.

Democracy Dies In Darkness? Washington Post Refuses To Track Biden’s Presidential Lies, Falsehoods https://nationalfile.com/democracy-dies-in-darkness-washington-post-refuses-to-track-bidens-presidential-lies-falsehoods/ https://nationalfile.com/democracy-dies-in-darkness-washington-post-refuses-to-track-bidens-presidential-lies-falsehoods/#respond Tue, 26 Jan 2021 14:00:40 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22709 Last Updated on January 26, 2021

The Washington Post has announced it will effectively cease its fact-checking operation where the Biden administration is concerned.

According to a Washington Post spokesperson, the publication, whose motto is “Democracy dies in darkness,” will let the lights go out on fact-checking the presidency of Joe Biden.

After The Post published its final tally of “lies or misleading statements by Donald Trump” (they tallied 30,573), the paper’s spokesperson said it has “no plans” to keep a tally database of Joe Biden’s falsehoods “at this time.”

“The database of Trump claims was started a month after Trump became president as a way not to overwhelm our fact-checking enterprise,” The Post spokesperson said, adding that the paper’s daily reporting would still attempt to keep track of both parties’ statements.

Biden, who many conservative and nonpartisan journalists see as the gaffe king that never stopped giving, has plenty of baggage when it comes to inaccurate statements, untruths, embellishments, plagiarism, and fictional statements.

There is a litany of public statements dating back as 1987 when C-SPAN unearthed video of Mr. Biden lying about his graduation ranking in law school. Then, it was a scandal that ended one of his many shots at the presidency.

There was his missive about being arrested trying to visit then imprisoned Nelson Mandela in South Africa. Even The Post’s fact-checkers called that claim “ridiculous.”

The Post additionally called shenanigans on Biden’s account of a trip he took to Afghanistan. “In the space of three minutes, Biden got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient wrong, as well as his own role in the ceremony,” The Post declared.

Perhaps appropriately but certainly ironically, the news of The Post’s decision to forgo fact-checking the Biden administration broke on the very same day as a new poll revealed a record numbers of Americans think the mainstream media is intentionally trying to deceive the American public.

Democrats Debate Using the ‘Insurrection’ Clause in the 14th Amendment to Bar Trump from Office https://nationalfile.com/democrats-debate-using-the-insurrection-clause-in-the-14th-amendment-to-bar-trump-from-office/ https://nationalfile.com/democrats-debate-using-the-insurrection-clause-in-the-14th-amendment-to-bar-trump-from-office/#respond Mon, 25 Jan 2021 21:45:06 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22671 Last Updated on February 17, 2022

Continuing to advance the false narrative that former President Trump was the catalyst for the chaos and violence at the Capitol Building on January 6th, some Democrats in the US Senate are considering the use of the “Insurrection Clause” in the 14th Amendment to preclude Mr. Trump from ever again holding office.

“It’s an idea that’s out there that I think people are contemplating in the accountability space,” US Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), a failed former Democrat vice presidential candidate, told reporters last Friday.

“The remedies of the 14th Amendment certainly may be appropriate for someone who incites an insurrection as Donald Trump did,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), said.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), called the measure “certainly a possibility.”

Passed in the aftermath of the US Civil War, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment holds a mandate that no one who has engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States, after having taken an oath of office, can hold office.

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Democrats and pundits in the Leftist mainstream media claim that former President Trump’s speech at the January 6th rally in Washington, DC, should be considered “incitement of insurrection” because of the individuals who stormed the Capitol Building following that rally.

But a timeline of events that happened on January 6th, reveals that the chaos and violence at the Capitol Building began prior to the end of the speeches at the rally.

Additionally, a growing amount of video evidence has surfaced implicating QAnon, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter activists as the inciters of the chaos as violence, not rally-attending Trump supporters.

A majority of legal experts have argued that under First Amendment law, it is implausible that Mr. Trump actually “incited” the actions on January 6th, given the high bar the US Supreme Court has set to meet a standard applicable under the 14th Amendment.

One article of impeachment is scheduled to be delivered to the US Senate Monday. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), has stated any trial would begin on or about February 8, 2021.

Sarah Sanders, Former Trump Senior Aide, Announces Run for Arkansas Governor https://nationalfile.com/sarah-sanders-former-trump-senior-aide-announces-run-for-arkansas-governor/ https://nationalfile.com/sarah-sanders-former-trump-senior-aide-announces-run-for-arkansas-governor/#respond Mon, 25 Jan 2021 19:16:53 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22666 Last Updated on February 17, 2022

Sarah Sanders, the former press secretary to President Donald Trump and daughter of former-Governor Mike Huckabee, has formally announced she is a candidate for governor in the State of Arkansas.

Sanders is the third person to enter. She joins Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin in vying for the position. Both are Republicans.

The Arkansas gubernatorial race is an open field as the current Governor, Asa Hutchinson, also a Republican, is term-limited.

https://twitter.com/SarahHuckabee/status/1353674788099780609

“I was the first White House press secretary to require Secret Service protection because of a credible, violent threat against me. We’ve seen violence in our streets at a congressional baseball practice and at our Capitol. This is not who we are as Americans,” Sanders said in her announcement. “To remain free, we must have law and order and resolve our differences peacefully.”

Sanders explained that the radical Left’s solution to the violence and violent confrontation is to impose government control. She also said that Big Tech’s censorship posed a totalitarian the top down that only exacerbated the tensions.

The former Trump press secretary said Socialism and the canceled culture will not only fail to heal the country, but it will also further divide the nation and destroy us as a people.

“Everything we love about America is at stake,” she said. “With the radical left now in control of Washington, your governor is your last line of defense. In fact, your governor must be on the front line. So today, I announced my candidacy for governor of Arkansas, and ask for your prayers and your support.”

Former President Trump repeatedly said Sanders should run for governor in Arkansas saying, “She is a very special person with extraordinary talents…she would be fantastic.”

Trump Aides Bail on Impeachment Defense, Welcome the End of His Presidency https://nationalfile.com/trump-aides-bail-on-impeachment-defense-welcome-the-end-of-his-presidency/ https://nationalfile.com/trump-aides-bail-on-impeachment-defense-welcome-the-end-of-his-presidency/#respond Sat, 16 Jan 2021 00:33:26 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=22078 Last Updated on January 15, 2021

With the news of a second impeachment, President Trump has seen his White House apparatus reduced in size, with an exodus of aides and advisers who once begged for their positions abandoning the President in the waning days of his presidency.

As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), navigated the second impeachment of Mr. Trump – with the help of several Republicans who abandoned their party’s president, it is reported that the President feels abandoned by some he trusted most.

As the radical left made a false case against him for inciting an “insurrection” at the Capitol Building January 6, 2021, the President is reported to have been upset, generally, that virtually the entirety of his team, including press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, economic adviser Larry Kudlow, national security adviser Robert C. O’Brien, and to a lesser extent Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, failed to come to his defense, this according to a senior administration official who chose to remain nameless.

A former senior administration official still in communications with the White House said, “People are just over it. The 20th couldn’t come soon enough. Sometimes there’s a bunker mentality or us-versus-them or righteous indignation that the Democrats or the media are being unfair, but there’s none of that right now. People are just exhausted and disappointed and angry and ready for all this to be done.”

https://twitter.com/AlexisCoe/status/1349720770298191877

Jason Miller, a senior political adviser to the President, argued that members of the Republican Party in the US House who voted to impeach Mr. Trump would pay a high political price.

A recent polling memo from Trump campaign pollster John McLaughlin said a majority of voters in presidential battleground states are opposed to impeachment and  “Big Tech censorship,” two points that indicate the publics general support for the President.

“It’s a massive miscalculation by the Democrats and the Liz Cheneys of the world who are massively disconnected from the grass roots that votes in primaries,” Miller said.

“The grass roots and the base support is strong for [the President],” Miller added. “That’s really what matters. Washington is a very fickle town, and President Trump has never staked his strength as being in the nation’s capital. It’s always been out with the real people.”

In the President’s final days in office, he is keeping his circle tight, mainly talking to immediate family, Meadows, Scavino, senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, and personnel director Johnny McEntee. Hope Hicks, counselor to the president and long one of his closest confidantes, abandoned the President last week and, as some familiar with the situation describe, has been “checked out for some time.”
