Arizona Judge Peter Thompson, who is overseeing Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s election lawsuit ordered Lake, Secretary of State and Arizona Governor-elect Katie Hobbs, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors officials, and a number of others to appear at an emergency court hearing on Tuesday. The hearing laid out a schedule for how both parties can proceed while the 70-page election lawsuit plays out and set oral arguments for Monday.

The hearing was scheduled for 11 am Pacific Standard Time, though technical difficulties delayed the virtual hearing until nearly noon. Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers then tweeted out the meeting details, allowing anyone to enter.

“I was just told this is the most popular meeting in America right now,” Lake tweeted shortly before the scheduled start time. “I can’t even get INTO the court hearing meeting, nor can my attorneys.”

Lake appeared in virtual court alongside her representatives, although Hobbs and the other Maricopa County officials did not appear and sent representatives in their stead. In addition to Lake and Hobbs, Maricopa Count Stephen Richer, Board of Supervisor members Bill Gates, Clint Hickman, Jack Sellers, Thomas Galvin, and Steve Gallardo, and Director of Elections Scott Jarrett were also called to appear, according to the Arizona Sun Times.

Both parties will have until Thursday, December 15 to file any motions to dismiss. Andy Gaona, who is representing Hobbs, declared the intentions on behalf of the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office to dismiss this case by Thursday.

For now, oral arguments are set for Monday, while evidence hearings have also been scheduled for December 21 and 22.

Kari Lake was optimistic after the hearing concluded. “Today’s hearing regarding my lawsuit was telling. The Judge noted the volume of evidence my team compiled. The defendants’ team seemed desperate to sweep it under the rug,” Lake wrote in a statement. “I am thankful to Judge Peter Thompson and his team for the work they do and we are confident that given the opportunity, we will expose this election for the sham it was.”

Lake’s 70-page election lawsuit contests the results of the 2022 General Election, alleging that printer issues in Maricopa County disenfranchised upwards of thousands of voters. The complaint also alleges that hundreds of thousands of mail-in-ballots were deposited into drop boxes or returned through the United States Postal Service (USPS) and delivered to a third-party vendor, Runbeck Election Services, on election day.

“This lawsuit puts an end to any doubt that our elections, especially in Maricopa County, are rigged and massive reforms are needed if the public is ever to trust the results again.” Lake said in a statement upon filing the lawsuit. “Our sacred vote was trampled on. Every Arizonan should be furious, regardless of Party. Despite the desperate lies by the Fake News, my team has filed one of the strongest Election Lawsuits in history.”

Katie Hobbs’ Office Threatened to Arrest Mohave County Election Officials Who Questioned 2022 Election https://nationalfile.com/katie-hobbs-office-threatened-to-arrest-mohave-county-election-officials-who-questioned-2022-election/ Sun, 04 Dec 2022 17:37:14 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56663 Last Updated on December 4, 2022

Arizona’s Democrat Secretary of State and Governor-elect Katie Hobbs’ office threatened to arrest the Mohave County Board of Supervisors if they opted not to certify the 2022 election by Monday’s deadline, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller. The board initially opted to withhold certification in protest of the numerous election irregularities that plagued Maricopa County.

Arizona State Elections Director Kori Lorick wrote several letters and emails to members of the board, threatening that they would be prosecuted if they refused to certify the results by the deadline. The correspondence also included threats of lawsuits for “nonfeasance.”

“The Secretary of State did contact our County and cited A.R.S. Section 16-1010 as a statute that could be used to prosecute [the board] if they did not certify the election,” Matt Smith, the Mohave County attorney, told The Daily Caller.  The statute is an Arizona felony regarding election officials who “fail to perform their duties” and could carry up to two years in prison for those convicted.

“The threat of legal action, including personally, came from the Arizona State Elections Director [Kori Lorick],” the board’s chair-elect Supervisor Travis Linginfelter said.

“Our office will take all legal action necessary to ensure that Arizona’s voters have their votes counted, including referring the individual supervisors who vote not to certify for criminal enforcement under A.R.S. 16-1010,” Lorick wrote in an email to the board. Governor-elect Hobbs oversaw her own election under her position of secretary of state, prompting controversy.

Republican members of the Mohave County board intended, like a number of additional Arizona counties, to hold hearings on numerous election irregularities that plagued the state’s largest county on election day. A “printer error,” according to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, led to close to a quarter of election day voting machines to go offline. The issue ultimately affected more than 17,000 ballots, which the board claims were counted.

Several poll workers and other election officials testified about the widespread errors during a hearing in Maricopa County. One poll worker testified that due to error-induced long wait times, scores of voters were forced to leave and were thus unable to cast their votes.

The Maricopa County poll worker stated that over 500 voters were “disenfranchised” at his polling place alone.

In addition, he discussed widespread confusion regarding proper check-in/check-out procedures at the polls. Due to the wait times, many voters were directed to other polling places were machines were operational. But since they were not checked out properly, due to what the poll worker blamed on poor training from the county, scores of votes were not counted.

In Mohave County, Lorick also sent a letter to the board saying they would be “disenfranchising” their voters if they opted not to certify. The letter, which was obtained by the Daily Caller, states that the board “has a non-discretionary duty to canvass the returns of the election,” and that a failure to do so “will only serve to disenfranchise that county’s voters.”

Mohave County was one of several Arizona counties that asked for more time to review the election results, though they are the only one that appears to have been threatened by Hobbs’ office.

Axios: McCarthy Risks ‘Humiliating and Potentially Career-Ending Defeat’ In Speaker Bid https://nationalfile.com/axios-mccarthy-risks-humiliating-and-potentially-career-ending-defeat-in-speaker-bid/ Sat, 03 Dec 2022 18:52:29 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56642 Last Updated on December 3, 2022

Axios has begun to recognize Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s path to the House Speakership role may be treacherous for the longtime establishment Republican.

Axios published an article earlier this week which warned McCarthy “is at risk of a humiliating and potentially career-ending defeat with just five weeks until the Jan. 3 speaker election, as several members of the right-wing House Freedom Caucus are still publicly vowing to deny him crucial votes.”

McCarthy is facing pushback from the Trump-aligned House Freedom Caucus and other pro-America First House Republicans. It appears particular members of the GOP are unwilling to back McCarthy after the California rep. gave into the Democrat-driven narrative surrounding the January 6th protest by blaming former President Donald Trump.

Rep. McCarthy has also spoken out that he would not lead impeachment proceedings into Joe Biden. The House Speaker-elect is scrambling to secure the 218 votes necessary to win the Speakership role in January.

With only 222 Republicans in Congress, it is instrumental that McCarthy convinces every Republican to back him. However, Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) believes at least a dozen Republicans are “hard no” voters against McCarthy.

National File previously reported:

“I believe we have at least a dozen or so… that will do what needs to be done on the House Floor to ensure that we get an improvement in the Speaker situation,” Rep. Bob Good told John Fredericks, a political radio host.

“You know he’s going to be making deals left and right, as we speak, he’s on the phone now making deals – that’s how he got MTG, right. [McCarthy] cut her a deal…but you’re telling me you got a dozen ‘hard nos’?” Fredericks asked Rep. Good.

“I believe…that there’s a dozen or so who will show the steel courage that’s needed…that will not be persuaded. I hope that it’s more because I will tell you John…we got five or six, [a] handful of freshmen [congressman] who’ve come in who’ve shown some real steely resolve, some real courage. Because, when you get here John, you’re told, and I’m in DC now…but pressure gets on those freshmen [congressmen] coming in, ‘hey you better be careful, you better watch out, don’t be part of the Freedom Caucus, you know, because then you’re gonna fall out of favor, you’re gonna have consequence, you’re not going to get committee assignments you want, you’re not going to get the money that you want, you’re not going…to be promoted by leadership.’” Rep. Good explained.

McCarthy has disappointed America First Republicans by offering no promise to restore the ability for Republicans to lead a “motion to vacate” the Speaker’s chair.

The “motion to vacate the chair” was removed by current Speaker Nancy Pelosi despite being a part of America’s legislature for decades.

As National File previously reported:

The “motion to vacate” rule formerly served as a check on the Speaker by his conference, in that it required the Speaker to enjoy serving at the pleasure of his conference, given that the motion to remove the Speaker could be brought to the floor by a single member of Congress.

With McCarthy adhering to Pelosi’s leadership standards, House Republicans would be unable to hold McCarthy accountable and let the establishment California rep. hold unchecked power over the House.

CNN Runs Cover For McCarthy Ahead Of Speaker Race, Levin/Hannity Fall In Line https://nationalfile.com/cnn-runs-cover-for-mccarthy-ahead-of-speaker-race-levin-hannity-fall-in-line/ Sat, 03 Dec 2022 01:21:07 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56639 Last Updated on December 2, 2022

Mainstream legacy media groups are beginning to toss their support behind Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) ahead of the establishment figure’s House Speaker election in January.

Conservative Inc. figures like Mark Levin and Sean Hannity and even CNN have rattled off pro-McCarthy talking points as House Republicans out of the pro-Trump, MAGA-aligned wing of the party have begun criticizing a McCarthy speakership.

On Tuesday, Fox News host Mark Levin blew up on Republicans like Reps. Andy Biggs (R-Az), Bob Good (R-Va.), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Ralph Norman (R-SC), and Matt Rosendale (R-MT) for pushing back on McCarthy.

Levin called the America First advocates a bunch of “boneheads,” asking “how can they be so stupid?”

Attacking Rep. Gaetz, Levin called him “utterly useless” to the party despite being a “very clever debater.”

Levin went on to call Rep. Biggs a “phony conservative” and Rep. Good a “moron.”

Also on Tuesday, long-time Fox News host Sean Hannity voiced his support for McCarthy’s speaker bid.

Hannity criticized anti-McCarthy Republicans, saying they will force the party to “fail” by not backing McCarthy’s speakership bid.

“The only admonition I’d give to your fellow Republicans that either you guys all stand together or you will fail together,” Hannity told the California rep.

Hannity went on to suggest Republicans like Gaetz, Biggs, Good and others speaking out against the House Speaker elect are not meeting their “commitments to America.”

Leftist media outlet CNN echoed Fox News’ support of McCarthy.

CNN posted an opinion piece that suggests the anti-Trumper “may have the hardest job on Capitol Hill.”

The puff piece knocked “the populist thrust in the party” for pushing longtime GOP establishment figures Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor out of the party.

“But McCarthy’s travails illustrate how trying to lead in an era when parties and institutions are held captive by an anti-establishment mentality will be a continual exercise in frustration,” the article reads, seemingly critcizing Republicans fighting against the establishment.

Over 500 Voters Were ‘Disenfranchised’ at One Maricopa Polling Place Alone, Election Worker Testifies https://nationalfile.com/over-500-voters-were-disenfranchised-at-one-maricopa-polling-place-alone-election-worker-testifies/ Tue, 29 Nov 2022 02:22:02 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56558 Last Updated on November 28, 2022

An election worker who worked the polls at a 14-day voting center in Maricopa County — Arizona’s largest county — testified that over 500 voters were “disenfranchised” at his polling place alone. Election day in Maricopa County was plagued by printer errors that led to long lines and a large number of provisional ballots. Multiple poll workers testified that these many of these ballots were not counted due to improper training on checking voters out, while a number of others simply left due to the wait time, however. Despite testimony from multiple poll workers, Maricopa County election officials opted to certify the election.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the Board of Supervisors, I was a poll worker…. And what I will say that I’ve seen is voters this cycle have in fact been disenfranchised,” the poll worker said. “When they come in, and they bring their ballot, and they can’t turn it in because there’s a line to turn it in. Or they can’t vote, because they were told they cannot check in because they were not able to properly check out at the previous polling center they were at, because we, as poll workers, were not taught how to check out voters at our poll centers,” he continued.

“So if a tabulator goes down and they have to come to our poll center, you know what this means. It means they are still checked in at another poll center and given provisional ballots that are not being counted.”

The poll worker went on to say that only a fraction of nearly 700 voters lined up outside his polling place were able to vote due to the issues and wait times. “And then at my poll center, where we literally had at 7 pm on Election Day 675 people waiting in line. Out of 675, do you know how many came in? 150.”

Election day voters in the state’s largest county were greeted by long lines due to what the Maricopa Board of Supervisors later described as a “printer issue.”

Voters were told that they could either come back later in the day, or submit a provisional ballot that would be “taken downtown” and counted later. The long lines prompted some voters to leave, however, due to other obligations and time constraints.

On Election Day, officials announced that about 20% of tabulators at county polling sites were malfunctioning. The “printer issue” affected roughly 17,000 ballots, which were ultimately counted, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has claimed.

That figure does not account for voters who left due to the issue, which according to the 14-day center poll worker, affected over 500 voters at his polling place alone.

Despite the irregularities, the board voted to certify the election anyway, with board chair Bill Gates delivering a lengthy statement in defense of their integrity.

Arizona AG Candidate Abe Hamadeh, RNC File Lawsuit Over Alleged Election Irregularities https://nationalfile.com/arizona-ag-candidate-abe-hamadeh-rnc-file-lawsuit-over-alleged-election-irregularities/ Wed, 23 Nov 2022 15:35:45 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56449 Last Updated on November 23, 2022

Joined by the Republican National Committee (RNC), Arizona’s GOP candidate for attorney general, Abe Hamadeh, filed a lawsuit against election officials Tuesday for what they call a host of “errors and inaccuracies” in the handling and later counting of votes at certain polling places, particularly in Maricopa County.

Hamadeh finished just behind Democrat challenger Kris Mayes in Maricopa County’s final ballot tallies, which were reported Monday.

The AG candidate, along with the state’s GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and a large number of state and national Republicans, has scrutinized a number of errors that took place at Maricopa County polling places. In a tweet Tuesday evening, Hamadeh said, “the GOP is proud to join in this legal action. Maricopa County’s election failures disenfranchised Arizonans. We’re going to court to get the answers voters deserve.”

The 25-page complaint claims alleged election board misconduct, the tallying of unlawful ballots and the incorrect counting of votes, KPNX reported.

The lawsuit claims that inadequate training for poll workers, as well as false statements from Maricopa Election Supervisor Bill Gates on the process of instructing voters on what to do in the event of a printer malfunction, led to incorrect vote counts.

In one notable issue that has been heavily scrutinized by Republicans, election officials reported that a “printer issue” affected roughly 17,000 ballots on Election Day.

On Election Day, officials announced that about 20% of tabulators at county polling sites were malfunctioning. “We have two tabulators. One of the tabulators is not working, OK? The other tabulator is taking about 75 percent successful,” a poll worker told a lengthy line of voters. “So 25 percent of them are being misread, and it could be a printer issue, and it could be a tabulator itself.”

“So when it’s misread, you have an option to put it into what’s called box three, and it gets read. Whether it goes downtown and gets read manually, or whether re-fed into our tabulator, they get read, OK? the poll worker explained. “No, we don’t wanna adjudicate,” one voter could be heard saying.

“So no one is trying to deceive anybody the poll worker said, prompting groans from the crowd. “I don’t trust going in the box, they never make it down there,” one woman said. “I’ll come back.”

The complaint also claims that numerous voters “checked in” at polling locations but did not “check out” or cast a ballot.

At least 273 voters who were not properly “checked out” at their initial polling location and later submitted a provisional ballot had those ballots discarded after election officials incorrectly marked them as having voted already.

The suit also alleges duplicate vote counts due to scanning errors, illegal early counting of mail-in ballots and the counting of ballots without proper signature verification.

‘McCarthy Killed Red Wave By Defunding Conservatives,’ Bob Good Joins Speaker Fight https://nationalfile.com/mccarthy-killed-red-wave-by-defunding-conservatives-bob-goode-joins-speaker-fight/ Sun, 20 Nov 2022 03:23:42 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56320 Last Updated on November 20, 2022

American voters were ready to give DC a Red Wave until the GOP leadership, like Kevin McCarthy, decided to spend donor money to stop it in the primaries- that is the narrative unfolding from angry Conservatives during this brutal fight over the Speaker of the House.

What Conservative US Rep Bob Good wants to know is why anybody would vote for someone to be a leader who betrayed the Republican party in terms of the way donor money was used in the primary races.

In fact, McCarthy’s primary spending habits were so controversial and viewed as so counter to what the American people and Republican voters want that National File reports McCarthy crushed the anticipated ‘Red Wave,’ and he further used scandalous cash from FTX to help keep Conservative-Populists  off the ballot :

Good (R-VA), who just won his re-election, confirms that McCarthy played dirty in the primaries by offering a factual story that McCarthy was deciding which 2022 Republican mid-term campaigns to fund based upon candidates he felt would vote for him for Speaker of the House.

That is what Good said it came down to, and McCarthy tried to get rid of Good in the primary.

Good slammed McCarthy to the media numerous times, saying McCarthy was downright using donor money in primaries to fund his own chances for leadership. In fact, McCarthy financed Good’s own primary challenger and then gave Good the cold shoulder when he won the general and got to DC.

A recent Politico story hints at the friction between Good and McCarthy. Good talked to the media this week about his own side.

“I have never left a Republican meeting that was a private meeting and talked about what was said, but apparently, Kevin and his team leaked information in a way that’s trying to make it look favorable to him.  So here is my side: It was in front of the conference, I went to the mic and I two questions of Kevin who was the only candidate at that moment. We put Biggs up the next day for the vote. I just asked if he would have done anything differently over these last two years, and then I asked about primaries. I asked why we spent millions of  dollars in primaries to put our thumb on the scale of those elections. We used millions of dollars that could have been used in the general election to beat Democrats. Why would we do that?” Good said, reflecting on his actions that day at the meeting that annoyed McCarthy so much he would leak a bad story to Politico about Good.

“Kevin tried to be personal when he answered me and he said he gave me 2 million dollars in 2020 in the general election. And so I said, well, you actually endorsed Denver Riggleman over me in the primary and then once I defeated him in the primary you never called me. You never called to congratulate me or welcome me. So I called you three weeks later. He admitted there at the mic, that he spent money in those primary races based on who would support him for Speaker,” Good said.

Good has been smashing McCarthy to the media,  like in this Fox News interview, saying he has had two years to earn votes, and he hasn’t done that:

Good told the media that McCarthy is not the right guy for the position to lead the US House, saying that his leadership was “milquetoast, weak moderate.”

McCarthy won the vote for the Republican conference, and the full vote for Speaker will take place on January 3rd, 2023, on the house floor. However, McCarthy was already 30 votes short of the 218 he would need to take leadership. Good has told the media that McCarthy doesn’t have the votes.

In fact, no one has the 218 votes needed at this point- so the fight rages on.

“This situation gives us other options for other candidates, and to see who can put together that coalition of support,” Good said, “We we need a fighter, and we didn’t have a fighter the last two years, we didn’t use every lever of power that we had in the minority, to do everything we could to stand against the radical Biden agenda.  That is how McCarthy is already ineffective and didn’t get the job done before.”

Good wants someone who will reflect the people’s point of view.

“We need a Conservative whose core ideology reflects the five or six million additional votes we have gotten over the Democrat in this election; Republicans took back the house for only the third or fourth time in the last hundred year,” he said.

“The majority of Americans voted for change in the representative body. So we need conservatives and we need those who are trustworthy and are not in it for themselves and will change the status quo. If we follow, if we just fall in line like sheep and we vote for the presumed leader, then we’ll get we’ve always got,” he said, adding:

“He spent millions of dollars to try to elect people who would vote for him as Speaker. He admitted that in our conference leadership forum. When I was challenging him. I said let the people of those respective districts elect who they want to represent, which reflects that district, and then let’s spend the money in the general to get them across the Finish Line,” Good said, concluding:

“In 49 days, we are going to answer to the American people: Do we reflect the base?  Do we reflect those who have sent us here. Are we gonna do everything we can to block and undo the Biden agenda with the power of the purse and the power of oversight and the power of funding and the ability to pass legislation?”

Lauren Boebert Wins Reelection After Tight Race https://nationalfile.com/lauren-boebert-wins-reelection-after-tight-race/ Fri, 18 Nov 2022 21:37:20 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56305 Last Updated on November 18, 2022

Adam Frisch, a Democrat who challenged U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, has conceded in one of the closest races in the 2022 midterms cycle. The race is likely headed to a recount, as Boebert’s lead stands around a few hundred votes.

“Adam Frisch called me to concede this race,” Rep. Boebert wrote in a tweet Friday. “I look forward to getting past election season and focusing on conservative governance in the House majority. Time to get to work!

Democrats pumped millions of dollars into the race, which ended up being much closer than most election analysts predicted. The candidates found themselves separated by double digit vote counts at multiple points in the counting process that lasted for days after polls closed.

A number of Democrat pundits and corporate media outlets called the race for Frisch multiple times, though the Democrat himself has opted to concede before a likely recount commences. At one point, while Boebert was losing, a guest told far-left MSNBC contributor that the congresswoman should “start an OnlyFans” now that she has been “defeated.”

“There’s never been a more humbling moment in my life,” Frisch said in a video statement posted to Facebook. Although a recount is likely, the former Aspen City Council member said that he did not want to continue funding election efforts over a “handful of votes.”

Prior to Frisch’s formal concession, Boebert claimed victory in a video statement posted Thursday evening. “I’m told that there are less than 200 votes outstanding, which makes me so happy to announce: we have won this race,” she stated.

“With this victory and with Republicans in control of the [House], we can focus on the things that actually matter most, including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border, and being a strong check on the White House,” she continued.

With the race officially called, the number of House races where votes are still being tallied stands at five. Four of those races are in California, where Republicans could expand their majority in three.

Republican Kevin Kiley leads Democrat Kermit Jones for the open 3rd District, while GOP Rep. David Valadao also has the edge in the tossup 22nd District, Politico reported. Republican John Duarte also holds a narrow lead over Democrat challenger Adam Gray in California’s 13th Congressional District.

Alaska’s at-large Congressional seat will also be settled next week, when the state tabulates its ranked choice votes under new election law. Democrat Rep. Mary Peltola is favored to win re-election to a full term.

]]> SPEAKER FIGHT! Andy Biggs: “Republicans Must Get Behind Someone Who Will Fight For America First Agenda” https://nationalfile.com/speaker-fight-andy-biggs-republicans-must-get-behind-someone-who-will-fight-for-america-first-agenda/ Tue, 15 Nov 2022 20:15:27 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56203 Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) appeared on the War Room program with Steve Bannon on Tuesday to send a message to Republicans that he intends to challenge squishy US Rep. Kevin McCarthy for the powerful position of Speaker of the House and that he isn’t afraid to stand up for himself or someone else to take the position away from the vengeful McCarthy.

Biggs made a great point- he reminded people that unity doesn’t have to happen behind McCarthy- unity can happen behind another candidate. Biggs said that Republicans can and should unify behind someone who will defend America First policies-and that is not Kevin McCarthy- period.

When asked why he announced on Monday that he is running for Speaker of the House, Biggs answered: “There’s a lot of reasons Steve, but not the least of which is- it’s time for a change. We have to change the status quo. The status quo is the sub-optimal path for both Republicans and this nation. So we have to make the change and, and I know that you’ve got people that are saying, oh- don’t do it no because the margin is too thin. They would have said if we had a 25-seat majority not to do it now because the large and is so great.”

Biggs had some specific suggestions about how the changes he wanted to see:

“If you want to have good policy, you have to have good procedure. How about if you open up the Appropriations process in such a way that you actually can reduce inflation? You have to fix the internal Structure to do it because it’s not set up to do fix that.”

Biggs continued:

“The same thing to any kind of conservative idea. Donald Trump actually had this right when he talked about the swamp and the uni-party. And what goes on here? Well, these people all decide all prefer the structure of the way it is because they profit off it. In order for the American people to profit off that you need Constitutional constraints.”

“And so you use that- that is how simple it is, and I mean seriously simple, saying a single subject rule on bills. No more 3000-page bills that are given to people with one hour before you vote and saying you got to vote to know what’s in it. Those things are structural, and they’ve gotten worse under Pelosi, but they were bad under the previous administration. How about you still allowing members of Congress to go to the floor, and I moved to amend? ”

Rep. Biggs continued to talk about the things that need change the most:

“We haven’t had an open Amendment process in six years. Steve, six years. So that’s the structure. How about we find those agreement points that are America First in nature and and put those up in a very simple fashion, not buried under thousands of pages of crap and just say, let’s build up a fence.”

“They want to fence and let’s fund it, build it and go forward. And then the other thing is- and this is what’s key. I think to Steve due to altering the status quo.”

Biggs admitted his candidacy is a long shot:

“If we get a significant number of votes, then Kevin will still be the nominee, but he has to fight it out and we have to have an internal fight and discussion and maybe we can exit the path of this status quo that’s defeating this country.”

The Arizona rep talked about how people can keep track of what is unfolding:

“By December 16th, you’ll have a pretty good idea whether Mr. McCarthy is fit for the job, and I think a lot of people would say they’d already seen his performance and determined he isn’t.”

“I love Marjorie as, you know, we’ve worked together side by side and taking our licks together and fought this battle. But I think she is wrong here. I say that if you don’t make a chance because you have a small majority, you won’t do it because we have a significant majority, or you won’t do it because we’re in the minority. When will you make a change? When will you make a change? Everything is fraught with risk. I don’t think this is a serious risk, though.”

He talked about the idea that it is too risky to displace McCarthy:

“I don’t think even the Republican who said he would go to Democrats wants to see a Democrat leading you. Now when we have a majority I said, I don’t think that’s realistic. I think what’s much more realistic it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to unite behind Kevin McCarthy, for Pete’s sake. You can the United behind me, and if I’m not the guy, then find a different consensus candidate.”

“Let’s unite behind somebody who will actually invoke America First policies and that’s what we need to do Steve, this country is ripe for it. This body is right. For reform and transition and we have to exit the sub-optimal path and build a new path it might have some short-term pain, but will have long-term consequences and rewards that that will make this country a better place. Make this institution of our better, more responsive Institution.”

No for Kevin but they don’t want him necessarily to know it because he might exact retribution against them, and that’s also a crappy way to lead it this body.”

Arizona Totals For Governor Are Unchanged For Days As Ballots Go Uncounted https://nationalfile.com/arizona-totals-for-governor-are-unchanged-for-days-as-ballots-go-uncounted/ Sat, 12 Nov 2022 23:03:31 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=56131 Last Updated on November 12, 2022

Election results for Arizona Governor had not been settled by mid-Saturday afternoon, as election officials seemed to be dragging their feet by not counting many votes, leaving tabulations unmoved for days.

“These people need to do their jobs and count the ballots,” one local woman told local media about her frustration over what she sees as a delay in the tabulation and announcement of the Arizona gubernatorial winners.

The New York Times hadn’t even updated their election site in over 24 hours and show numbers suspended and unchanged, showing Democrat Katie Hobbs with a tiny little lead over Republican Kari Lake.

“They are trying to demoralize us by leaving it like this for so many days,” one AZ poll worker told reporters about the length of time it was taking to vote all of the ballots from Tuesday’s election.

Here is what it looked like:

Local  AZ news reported that election staffers in Arizona’s two most populous counties planned to work through the weekend counting remaining ballots from Tuesday’s election, with a possibly pivotal update in the governor’s race expected Saturday evening.

Many people are worried that the state election results are unfolding under a massive conflict of interest.

The conflict of interest in the state of Arizona is brazen as  Democrat AZ Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, in charge of elections, is also the Democrat candidate for Governor, and Hobbs appeared to be trailing the Republican candidate for Governor,  Kari Lake when the numbers put Hobbs in a tiny little lead and then mysterious voting stopped.

“While awaiting results, Hobbs has urged patience,” AZ Central reported, adding:

“As we await outstanding ballots, I remain confident in the will of (Arizona) voters and am grateful to the election officials diligently working to ensure every vote is properly counted,” Hobbs said on social media Friday evening. “To everyone closely watching our race, thanks for your patience. We look forward to the days ahead.”

“Lake has gone on a tour of national and conservative media appearances saying she was confident she would win, drafting a boost from Election Day votes. She has pledged to reform the state’s “terrible” elections that are “run poorly, they’re ripe with fraud. She did not respond to a request for comment or an interview this week from The Arizona Republic.”

Some people see a connection between Hobbs’ potential for loss and a reluctance to announce the winner, so there is a slow, chaotic and lingering counting process that has voters feeling close to panic.

It appeared that by Saturday afternoon, the areas that most heavily favor Lake were not being counted toward the total for the state, as reported by Tyler Bowyer of Turning Point USA:

Arizonians were confused about why the process was taking so long.

“Katie Hobbs was so busy running away from debating Kari Lake that she apparently forgot she had a job to set up a process to count ballots,” a reporter covering the election for Real America’s Voice, Ben Bergquam, said while interviewing protestors who had gathered on Saturday afternoon.

Reporters for Gateway Pundit, Jordan Conradson and Bergquam, had both been denied press credentials by the AZ election officials in Maricopa Co,  but covered the people at the protest gathering in the area.  Bergquam took time to talk to a group who were a part of a ‘Jericho Walk,’ walking around the perimeter of the counting and praying for justice.

They reported at one time; there were up to 200 people in attendance at the protest.

“This is the center of the political universe right now,” Bergquam said about Maricopa County during a live stream where he interviewed numerous poll workers who had stories about voter frustration, machine malfunctions, and ballot issues.

Even though Kari Lake promised that every ballot was being addressed, residents in Maricopa Co were worried enough to start a protest at the counting center over the length of time it was taking to declare a winner in Tuesday’s midterm election.

People were frustrated about the ballots that were not being counted.  The question about that, on the minds of the voters, seemed to be whether the inability to count ballots was evil intent or pure incompetence.

Either way- it is Katie Hobbs’ fault.

“We need one day voting, paper ballots and no machines, with smaller precincts,” one poll worker told Bergquam. “I have no faith in these people.  I remember when they wouldn’t let Paul Gosar in to see what was happening. It was so disgusting,” she told him.

The count in Arizona continues. This story is still developing.
